My wife and I along with her brother Michael and sister-in-law Barbara visited Old San Juan last week and once again this old, historic city amazed me. The buildings, streets, and atmosphere all make you feel so welcome and like you are in a typical Spanish or Portuguese city. There are so many shops, restaurants, bars, museums, and historical attractions... More

We walked through so much of Old San Jaun without a definite plan, and we had zig zagged on and off Calle del Cristo many times, especially one great swerve to Don Collins cigar shop ( a MUST stop and see). The most memorable part of this street, to me, were the final 2 blocks, which start, at the top... More

it is the most iconic street in Old San Juan. You have to walk it through. I like to wald this street from the Totem Park down to the "Cristo Chapel".. you can go stores hopping or bar hopping. The legend of "Cristo Chapel" is magical.. Old San Juan is a magic place to visit, A MUST if you travel... More

The lovely history of this city can be found on this street. The Cathedral, the little park, the shops...all things you want to see!

The street goes through town; passed the El Convento, the Cathedral and the chapel is at the end of the street. Be sure to notice the blue cobblestones in the street.

While out for a nice walk, stop on by this street. It has a cute church at the end of it, and a pigeon park next to it. Also, there is a bar that serves you a sangria when you get a pedicure! Little shops and restaurants on this street.

Coach store down the block. Cool church, plenty of bars and restaurants in a cool location. Must go just to hang out. Real old world feel and the people are nice.

I wish I could say something amazing about it that hasn't already been said. I know that it's a major street that leads you into Old San Juan. There is bumper to bumper traffic in the evening on the weekends. There are traffic cops stationed at the lower end of it near the Chapel of Christ and La Fortaleza. It's... More

The story tell us that that around 1730 there was a horse race and Captain Baltazar Montañez y Mujica went down the hill on his horse and by a miracle of God he survived. To honor this miracle he ordered to erect one of the the most fantastic little chapels of the world. A lot of Catholicism, accompanied with gold,... More
