A small shop with a great selection of herbs, spices, tea, and sauces. I bought some Puerto Rican vanilla that I can't wait to use, and some extra spicy chai tea. Prices are what you'd expect. Stop in just to take in the smells and cool off in the air conditioning!

Like others we came by Spicy Caribbean by chance and happy we did. If you like spices you have to stop here. We bought spice packets for family and friends back home and they make great little gifts. Better than #%@ t-shirts...lol. Owner was helpful and friendly. Next time we are back in San Juan we will be back!

This shop is rather small, but they have quite a nice stock of hot sauces, spices, tea, etc. If you want to you can smell/taste the goods you want to take home. I'm a hot sauce addict, and they have some very good sauces, even if you're not into the real spicy ones. Both employees I encountered were very friendly... More

Nice little spice shop that also sells tea, fragrances and some souvenirs. Many products available for sampling and very knowledgeable staff. They also offer international shipping and have a newsletter. If you like spices, this is the place to go

We happened upon Spicy Caribbee by accident and loved this shop. The shop keeper was so pleasant and allowed us to taste some of the delicious offerings they have. You really don't want to miss this lovely shop if you are in Old San Juan.

Great store especially for spice/condiment freaks. The owner is supper nice. Samples on hand to try before you buy. Great place for souvenirs! I can't say enough about how helpful the owner was to my Fiancée and I. A must see, I do believe it is one of the few "true" spice shops in San Juan!

Nereida was working the day we stopped in and she encouraged us to sample and offered tips on different products in the store. We are certainly glad we stopped in!

Sofrito is out of this world and very much used in Caribbean food. It's flavorful but not overly spicey. If you buy it here you can't take it back on the plane. It's best to buy spices in the dry form since anything over 3oz gets confiscated. The shop is small but has flavors from around the Island, Spanish, Portuguese... More

Nice little spice shop that also sells teas, coffee, chocolate and some fragrances. Friendly, helpful staff. My only "complaint" is that they need to start bottling their other sauces in 3 oz sizes.
