We walked around browsing the windows of the various shops. This street also contains Barrachina, home of the original Pina Colada. Barrachina gives free samples. Safe place to walk around.

Some nice bars and restaurants but not much else going on. Absolutely no place to park in the city without getting lucky. Most souvenir shops were very ordinary with mainly "China" made looking items.

This strip is filled with restaurants and shops. The only thing I didn't like was when some of the shop workers would hit the street to try and coax people to come in and buy from them. One particular young man was getting a little...More

When they excavated the street to repair the sewer and water lines they replaced the original ancient blue bricks with new cheap imitation bricks.

Yes, we were there on a Friday morning and afternoon and everything was open, clean, safe and if you weren't looking for hurricane damage, you would've walked right past it.The tourist areas are just fine.

If I'm not too late, I found the best deal for the money with great food and service was Tijuana's, at Calle Marina which is in Old San Juan along the water.

I concur. Either take the free trolley into and around old san Juan or park near the Sheraton.
