I enjoyed shopping among the stores here. All were moderately priced and a lot of them had different souvenirs to take back home. It wasn't all the same stock which made it great to go into each store

Many shops on this street. Street is narrow and traffic heavy. Best to park in garage and walk. Highly recommend!

Our hotel, hotel Milan, is on this street. It has a number of small hotels, many restaurants (some outstanding), many tourist shops and busy traffic during day and evening. No reason to visit it unless you like the action on a weekend evening.

Walk down Fortaleza to see all the variety of Old San Juan. Stop at Olé for a Panama hat, Get a piña colada at Barrachina's.

Many boutiques to select among. uniques pieces along with normal souvenirs. Many of the storefronts are being re-occupied and painted in historically bright attractive colors. worth a couple of hours of easy walking

A great place to shop and grab a bite to eat, even if not into shopping it's still a place to see just for the atmosphere.

If I'm not too late, I found the best deal for the money with great food and service was Tijuana's, at Calle Marina which is in Old San Juan along the water.

I concur. Either take the free trolley into and around old san Juan or park near the Sheraton.
