Got taken here by our guide Danny. So pleased he chose this place for us to chill on the beach and have some cocktails and some lunch. I like cocktails to say the least, so I know what I’m talking about. The Treehouse cocktails were simply the best I’ve had in years of different countries in various resorts and these were the best! Another thing that was the best was their Jerk Chicken. Juicy and succulent that just melted in your mouth. The sauce was out of this world, so had to buy some and bring it back to the Uk. Since being back, I’ve made jerk a few times and can’t get it as good as Mommas! I’ll keep trying. 😂 if you’re in Negril, lunch and cocktails are a must at the Tree house!

Our honeymoon needed to be replanned in just 24 hours due to COVID. Little did we know the Treehouse would exceed our expectations to such a degree. From the wonderful lodging to the staff that became like family, every experience was amazing. They took care of us as though we’d been regulars from the moment we arrived. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the meals are to die for, and the staff treats you like one of their own. We cannot wait to return!

My story about the Treehouse starts in New Jersey .I was in Covid lockdown for 3 months alone . Then I found Gail and her lookie Loo FaceTimes every day ,, I already had a trip to Negril booked . It was cancelled . But everyday I watched her live Facebook posts . I watched with the sail boat saga .. it really helped me get thru those dark times . I promised myself , when I got to Jamaica , I would make a point to go to the Treehouse and give Gail my business as a thank you . Well today I did just that .. Our bartender Stacy was the nicest girl so polite and kind . It was a wonderful spot to sit back relax and enjoy some drinks . Gail unfortunately was not there . But we had such an enjoyable day . The place has its own personality . You can tell all the staff enjoy their jobs . It was my pleasure to spend my day there . Next trip I will stay there .

We went to the Yreehouse twice on our trip and they didnt disappointment! We arrived and Tony Montana guided us to a great section of the beach where we were introduced to our server. She quickly took our orders and rattled off the menu for lunch. She brought our drinks and we were off to the ocean! They returned to offer massages and water sports which we accepted! We went snorkling the first day and returned for massages. Andrea and aodette were FANTASTIC massage therapists who you should look out for! We returned a few days later we enjoyed another massage! I havent had a better massage ina spa in the US!
Did i mention the food? It was excellent BOTH times! Authentic Jamaican fare. Jerk Chicken the first go around with rice and cabbage....excellent for all 4 of us! The second time around, fish, shrimp and oxtails to die for. This place is clean, Covid-19 sensitive, safe and very clean. The service was impeccable. Visit here....you will not be disappointed. We'll be back!

I visited Treehouse June of 2015! My friend and I found a deal of either groupon/living social. Between the both of us (because we shared a room) it was $400 we stayed for 5 nights. Upon arriving to Treehouse we had to pay taxes for the room which came out to about $40 per person. Before heading to your room your given keys both to the room and the in room safe 👌🏽. Jermaine (who was sooo helpful) took our bags to our room- we stayed in the garden view, two twin beds room. First look into the room was AMAZING!!!! Air condition- check, in room safe- check, cleanliness- check, cable tv- check. Our room was so nice, spacious, clean clean clean. And what's even better is the balcony which contains hammocks for everyone. I loved it. I never stayed on the hammocks at night though- those bugs will feast on you if you let them. Our room was far from the beach at all, the good thing about Treehouse is they have a beautiful bar, with some amazing people working there and they have a swimming pool/ hot tub. Located right in the heart of seven mile beach you'll run into some of everyone. My friend and I were able to take part in the glass bottom boat, horse back riding, snorkeling, and so much more. Margaritaville is also right next to Treehouse!! This trip was amazing and part of the reason was because we chose to stay here. In terms of the menu I must say I was a bit disappointed (dinner menu), there weren't much "Jamaican" selection, so I found myself eating elsewhere. But breakfast (which was included) was oh so good. Buffet style, and each day it got better and better. I felt really good about Treehouse!!!! Treehouse also provides you with beach towels, and on the last day that we were there they had entertainment and was passing out free cocktails. There were may times I went off the property, so if your looking for reliable transportation I would most certainly recommend "Willis Tours & Transportation" the owners name is Jay and his telephone number is 876.833.6285 no matter where I wanted to go, no matter when I wanted to be there. He was always ready and available. His vehicle is clean and AIR CONDITIONED, he's a really nice guy and I felt very safe with him. I've used him a few times, the best part is his prices are very reasonable (compared to the guys who drive for treehouse)!!!! Keep that in mind. Thank you so much Willis Tours and thank you so much Treehouse

I absolutely love this property. The breakfast is included and they have a nice variety of selections. The staff is very friendly and so pleasant - from the front desk to the bartenders and waiters and waitresses as well as housekeeping and maintenance. If you want to go snorkeling or para-sailing, just ask for Tony Montana and he'll take care of you and make sure you don't over pay for these activities. This hotel is located right in the middle of 7 mile beach. Walking distance to many restaurants including Margaritaville, Normas, as well as the Tree House's own restaurant and bar. Patrick makes the best rum punch in Jamaica! The rooms are clean and pleasantly decorated and you can walk around the entire property and beach area including shops and restaurants - barefoot - if you wish. Laid back and simple. The Treehouse is not a deluxe 5 star all inclusive... for me, it's much better than that. I feel welcome here and I feel like part of the family.

This place has a nice vibe to it. It's nestled in a great stretch of 7 mile beach and within walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. It takes the staff a while to start warming up to you, so don't expect any of your typical stateside customer service upon arrival. The owner seems like a tyrant, and there seems to be a real rift between her and her employees, and some customers too.
Some of the employees are absolutely exceptional, including Stacey, Leon, Jermaine, David, Patrick, and Rasta, the gardener who you will see around the grounds singing to the plants. These people are all great, truly.
I think in general the entire staff mean well, but have been mistreated by management and probably some of the cheaper tourist guests - so maybe tip them well? There is a 10% service charge at the bar / restaurant, which I'm not sure qualifies as a TIP or just something on top of the bill. I feel this should be clarified, because it might hurt the employees earnings if it's not directed to their pocket. They might also be more inclined to be receptive and caring, if they knew they were being rewarded (kind of common sense, I guess).
The rooms are clean, cold, and well kept. The grounds are immaculate.
The owner seems to "expect" repeat clients, which isn't really how the business world operates. With a lot of options, I would expect a little warmer and friendly service from front desk and management (although David was absolutely great).
All in all, this is a fine place to stay - and with a little fine tuning- could be fantastic.

The Treehouse has always been one of my favorite places to stop on Negril beach for a bite and a drink. Now they've added the former chef proprietor of the Hideaway Eatery at Blue Cave Castle - Chef Teddy - and the food has truly been kicked up a notch. His pastas are amazing; the curry conch to die for; and ask him for the off-menu Papaya Shrimp he made me, it was amazing. Photos will have to wait, sadly, 'til I'm hime.
We also availed ourselves of their new parasailing boat which was huge fun!
We'll be back soon.

I have been to many islands and I have stayed at many places. This is my 4th trip here. This place is great. It is not a 5 star hotel and it is not a large resort. It has the basics of what you need in a hotel. The room is clean, and the sheets are clean. The breakfast consist of mostly local foods and there is something different to eat every morning. Please try all the food they offer, and don't have your mind set on the average american breakfast. Their breakfast includes salt fish, calaloo, beef stew, curry chicken, brown eggs, freshly cooked omelets, waffles, baked breads, and fruits. For lunch I usually walk out to the town and find a nice place to eat. I like Sweet Spot ($10/meal) and Sweet Spice ($13/meal). I also like the freshly made pizza at Chances ($20/large) along the beach. If I want a little adventure I walk down to Heidonism and catch an old fish boat across to Booby Cay island. No more then $10 round trip and I order lobsters to be cooked fresh out the water, no more then 2 for $30. Ivan's is a nice restaurant on the cliff to splurge, with a wonderful sunset ($50/meal). When I return, I plan to go to Just Natural and Zombalie's.
The wifi at the hotel works great in the lobby and they are currently expanding the wifi through the entire resort. Everyone is nice!
The beach is perfect, better then the rest. Bring your floatation device. The hecklers are getting better about bothering you so not to worry, just politely decline.

Beach is stunning but i will never go back. We visited the island on a cruise ship and took a taxi here. It was a terrifying hour drive one way! The locals drive rediculously fast!!! When we finally arrived (alive) They didnt let us roam onto any other beaches they made us stay put on there little beach front with there run down beach chairs. I wouldnt mind visiting jamaica again but i will not be going back to this place.

You mention a live band at 17.00. How long did the band play? Does that happen every day? Is it a quiet and peaceful place of one of those resort that tries not turn every evening into party-time?
Thanks!

I'm wondering if we can book direct with the hotel. Through Expedia, they can't confirm a room with 2 beds, and we're 2 gal-pals traveling together. Does anyone know? If you can answer today 11/14, I'd appreciate it. We'd be happy to call direct.

I am looking forward to my first ever trip to the Caribbean and have a few practical questions. I was planning to use my carry-on as a tote for the beach stocked with water bottle, book, camera, towel (figure I have to take my own?), glasses, etc. Can I leave it somewhere nearby when I want to walk the beach without going back to my room? How do you and how much do you tip the housekeeping staff? I read somewhere that you had to give it to the housekeeper--not leave it in your room. Thanks very much for your help!

The hotel provides towels - one per guest. We left our towels and supplies on the hotel loungers when in the water and never had a problem. Lots of security at Treehouse. Sand gets into everything so you might want to have a secondary bag for the beach unless you don't mind sand in your carry on. I had a netted beach bag that worked so well as it could get wet and dirty and recover quickly. We provided cash tips ($5/day) in our room for housekeeping. Not sure if that was incorrect. Housekeeping cleans the balcony outside your room even if you have your do-not-disturb sign up, FYI.

Hello. We are considering booking at Sunset, and are concerned about mosquitos and the Chikungunya virus. What is the resort doing to reduce the numbers of mosquitos?
Thank you!
