    Fantastic visit with kids!
The best tour off the cruise so far! 100% worth it. We took a cab for $10 USD to go from the cruise port to Konoko falls. Entrance fee was minimal. Right away as you enter you are submerged into the most beautiful nature, plants, tropical flowers and waterfalls. The local guides were very helpful, although we didn’t book a tour in advance. Jermaine was the best! He helped us to climb and go down the waterfall. We stopped for lunch at the local jerk hut. It was very good at $10 per plate. Then splashed a bit more at the “jacuzzi” at the bottom of the fall. Wish we allocated more time for this visit!

    Beautiful climb!
Our trip to Konoko Falls was so much fun. It is an easier and more relaxing climb than Dunn’s River Falls. The guides were helpful and energetic! Before climbing the waterfall, you tour the beautiful landscape where you learn about many of the island’s native plants and the uses of them. There is little snack hut at the end where you can sample some jerk chicken. My favorite was with the mango habanero sauce! The only downside was I ordered some jerk chicken to take back the second we got to the food area, and the bus was about to leave before the order was ready. We only had about 5 minutes to spare once we got to that area and sampled the food. I wish the tour time was scheduled to allow at least 15-20 minutes to purchase food and a beverage.

    Highly Recommend this trip
Kenroy was our guide when climbing the falls he was very good and attentive. He helped my wife, who was very nervous, climbing up the waterfalls. Without him my wife wouldn’t have made it up there. Our guide through the natural habitat was also very good. All in all a great excursion if you are in Jamaica.

Great waterfall climbing option very near Ocho Rios's centre
Konoko Falls provides a great waterfall climbing alternative to Dunn's River Falls and is very good in its own right. Konoko Falls is more open and free range than Dunn's River Falls as you do not need to get a guide (although they are available) rather you can climb the beautiful falls at your own pleasure. Climbing the falls isn't quite as fun or impressive as Dunn's River Falls but it's pretty close. I liked the surrounding park at Konoko a lot better than the one at Dunn's River as it wasn't too touristy or full of people trying to sell you things. Instead there were caged animals (which I'm not a massive fan of) but best of all was a little museum which went over the history of Jamaica which I thought was great. There is also a lookout point in the park where you can get great views over Ocho Rios. There was also a bar and cafe which was pretty good. Overall, Konoko Falls is a great alternative to Dunn's River Falls as it's still very impressive, offers the chance to climb independently and has a better surrounding park with the highlights being the small museum and the lookout point.

    Worth the drive
It was about a 2 hour drive each way from the cruise ship in Montego Bay, but it was worth it. It's a beautiful area. The botanical gardens are very well cone and the museum is very small but does a good job of explaining the history of Jamaica. And Dalton was a terrific tour guide! There is a small food area if you need something to eat or drink while you're there. However, it is advertised as handicap accessible. I use a motorized scooter and would say that it is accessible but not really wheelchair friendly. There are several steep areas that would be difficult to manage in a wheelchair that was either self-propelled or being pushed by a companion. There are also quite a few rough areas on the path.

    Cool morning adventure
The tour guides are accommodating. Get there early for best experience. The parking area is relatively small so on a full day there may be issues. The park is well kept and the food prices were affordable. There was an option to go to the bottom of the falls; and that was a whole lot of stairs ,or to go midway, where there is a little 4 ft swimming area and the top of the falls. There is also a tour with birds, plants and a little museum.

Konoko Falls is better than Dunns River!
Visited Konoko Falls with my family of 6 (2 parents, 4 kids 10-15) from the UK in August 2023. Had the best time. Dunns River is too touristy and overpopulated whereas we found Konoko Falls quiet and relaxing. We first met our guide, Noldie who has been there 38 years and knew everything. He was so kind, knowledgeable and showed us everything including the birds, plants and trees in the rainforest. Then we went to the mini zoo and picked up parrots and iguanas! My children were thrilled! The we did the climb up Konoko Falls which did not look easy but with the help of the fantastic lifeguards, Kenroy and his colleague we did it! Kenroy was simply thebest and most helpful guide ever and even took photos and videos whilst we were all climbing up the waterfall. It took an hour and my 51 year old knees were aching but I did it! It is a really satisfying achievement and I highly recommend Konoko Falls as it is a secret to be discovered and a memorable day out!

Had the best time at Konoko falls. When we arrived and looked at the mountain ahead of us I thought it would be impossible but with the help of our very patient lifeguards we all did it! There was a 70 year old lady in our group and the guides were so great with her. Would highly recommend. Would highly recommend wearing grippy beach shoes.

Learning about the trees and plants that are native to Jamaica was an interesting aspect to this park. Though we didn’t climb the falls here it was a beautiful view. There is a bar and eatery onsite. Different animals to look at. There is a petting animal for some animals but our guide didn’t take us through that area.

This is a great place to go if you're in Ocho Rios or Dunns Falls, Jamaica. There is a beautiful garden tour you can take and then you can hike up the waterfall! It's amazing. A little strenuous but doable. We had a fantastic guide who helped us up the falls - Kenroy. He was sweet and funny and strong! (having to help lift us up the steep rocks). A truly wonderful man. Great way to spend a few hours.

Went with another couple and took a taxi from the resort. We were the only ones there and had a great time with our tour guide. Beautiful grounds, animals were active and making noises and great views for pictures.

We went to this park during our day trip from our cruise ship. Our guide recommended we check it out after we said we enjoy seeing nature and local wildlife. When first walking around, it seems like a well-kept and well-funded park and animal sanctuary, as expected for a place with a $20 USD entrance fee per person.
But as we kept walking around, we were horrified to see the extremely depressed looking Macaws in small cages with absolutely no enrichment toys. Macaws are extremely intelligent (intelligence of a human toddler) birds that have lifespans of around 50 years and they can become extremely depressed and anxious just like any person would be if locked up in a cell with no enrichment. These beautiful birds were exhibiting signs of acute stress when we saw them and banging their heads repeatedly into the cages.
These intelligent animals should be treated so much better, and my only regret is that I did not take pictures/videos of this when I saw it. Extremely disappointing and cruel, especially for the steep $20 entrance fee. I am surprised this place has such good reviews in spite of this. I guess people only see the pretty falls, but animal cruelty/neglect is not something anyone should overlook.

Our visit to Konoko Falls was a strange experience.

On arrival we found that we were pretty much the only ones at the site. While it is ordinarily great to avoid the cruise ship crowds in this instance it was quite eerie - walking around a slightly dilapidated adventure park with not a soul around. The only sound to keep us company was the music that was blaring out of the empty bar so loudly that we couldn’t hear each other talk. The waterfall itself was picturesque and easy enough to clamber up by ourselves (guides are available). As we were the only ones there it was a great opportunity for us to take some nice photos.

Aside from the waterfall there are a few caged birds and animals to look at, though we didn’t enjoy seeing them caged up like this. There is also a garden, which was pleasant enough.

Overall we would recommend it and I imagine it feels different when more guests are visiting.

The waterfall wasn't amazing, however we enjoyed our tour. Winston was entertaining and extremely knowledgeable and worth the trip himself.

Excellent day trip for our family. Kenroy was our guide and he was 10/10. Professional, fun with great camera skills and excellent knowlege of local plants on our tour of the gardens. He somehow made an amazing video of our clinb on our phone!
Having been to Dunns River many times, this was a more low key, relaxed and private experience. We arrived at 3pm and our group of 4 were the only ones climbing at the time. It was lovely and calm.
The 'museum' is very basic and written from an English perspective.

If you love nature, and would like to still climb the Water Falls with less people, this is the place for you. Konoko Falls has gardens where you will have a guided tour to walk you through the gardens explaining all the different plants, fruits and trees of Jamaica. It also has a area where you can take nice pictures overlooking the port where the ships dark. It also has a petting zoo where you can pet animals take pictures with Parrots , iguanas and snakes. And before you go, you must climb the falls to the top. This is a hidden gym that most people don’t know about.

On a Tui holiday in Runaway bay so decided to do the organised tour along with blue hole. Its was just after a storm had passed and weather was somewhat unpredictable. The group of 11 of us, only 8 of us wanted to climb the falls so we did it straight away just incase a storm came. You walk down the wooden stairs and then with guidance from the guide you walk up through the waterfall. It’s fun and refreshing. The lifeguard guide is helpful, it’s not too difficult . Beautiful location and refreshing. No pressure to do something you don’t want to, generally expected to tip at the end. Had a lovely guide take us around the gardens too, then a lunch of jerk chicken/ sausage and rice. Was a lovely experience.
