Love this quaint little shopping area. Each day we were there, it was very quiet. The shops were more upscale than the market but it had reasonable prices.

On day of visit no one open and it was obvious that most had closed down. So we ended up at jimmy buffets restaurant, which made the visit. It's a shame that the place was not open as it has great potential

We wanted to venture out of our resort to do a little shopping and see the town. I had high hopes because we used to live in St. Thomas where the shopping is great. We were disappointed to find that many of the shops were closed. Those that were open were full of workers that harassed us constantly while we... More

Has gone down hill in recent times. Only worth a visit when a cruise ship if shopping is your deal is in and then full of very loud and arrogant visitors for a few hours. Needs to be upgraded and quick or it will close

Island Village has been designed to give the feel of authentic Jamaica, with lush planting and a river that so clear you can see fish swimming through it. Inside the shops are made in a wooden style with verandas and walkways connecting them all together, which makes it very pretty looking. There is a combination of clothes, perfume, sunglasses, jewellery and... Good shopping with less stress than the markets. Vendors will bargain with you. We were rushed because we were on a tour, but wish we could've spent a little more time there.

The ability to haggle is a skill you need when you visit Island village for shopping. There are a great number of vendors with wares of all sorts - be adventurous but be smart!

There are a few cool things in this complex but most is geared to be high priced and touristy . Although at night sometimes it is open for parties this is when it is at its best.
