lush tropical. Beautiful. Very different side of Jamaica. Almost feels prehistoric. Great scenery. Nice drive.

Our driver took the route through Fern Gully while on our way to Kingston. It was beautiful, a natural green canopy tunnel with amazingly large ferns. Worth the drive.

Half a mile up the main road from Fern Gully heading south on the right, you will come to a pleasant circular RUM BAR, in the middle of a grassy, rocky, clearing. This is SWANSEA, one of the coolest, cleanest, and laid back places in Jamaica. Its always washed with cool breezes, cold drinks and a pleasant bar tough, Roy. Rest... More

The new motorway from Kingston to Ocho Rios cuts out a piece of this gully but you can drive out of town on the old route through this natural fern lined gully, quite twisty and narrow at times, vendors at some pull in points with fresh fruit.

Our tour guide was very informative on this tour through fern gully. Really enjoyed this tour. Drive can be a little scary but also fun. We bought souvenirs from a vendor made out of coconuts to bring home. The view at the top of the mountain is breathtaking.

Fern Gully is a tropical rain forest that is home to over 500 different species of ferns. What you may not know about Fern Gully is that it's an old River Bed. Very beautiful... Through the curves and turns of Fern Gully you'll experience moments that simply take your breath away.

A drive or ride through Fern Gully is not for the faint of heart. This is an old dried river bed turned roadway. It is amazing to traverse this road with the greenery and rocks clawing at your vehicle. And the locals drive at break neck speeds. There is absolutely not an inkling of time for being destracted, especially for... More

There really isn't much to see here apart from the fact that one travels through here en route to Kingston. A couple of folks selling stuff along the road would be the only indication that you're here. I don't actually know why this is even a separate entry on TripAdvisor.
