Blackie at the guides at the culture yard gave us a great tour of the area and taught us about the history, its music and its people. Mr. Wooden Stone told us about some cool stones and a pregnant tree. Great people all around, but...More

Hi! We hired a taxi today to take us around and see downtown, Trenchtown and Port Royal. First stop was Tuff Gong in Trenchtown, where we got off and was offered 3 different tours. Since we went to Bob Marleys museum/house (MUST SEE!) two days earlier we declined. But for You, who probably are more in to reggae and the culture here I would recommend You to go. It felt safe and welcoming even though we tend to feel a bit uneasy when it comes to ghetto-tourism - Is powerty really for sightseeing?
