Don't come here without sneakers. They charge you $10 for using the a horse, and it's a great experience. Ask for Pedro, Peter and Alexis. They know at least english and spanish and you give them whatever you want.

It's been a wonderful experience to visit the Citadelle. It wasn't easy climbing all the way up there, but I think that's the fun part about it. Great for family or a group of friends.

So excited I finally went to the Citadel don't try to walk up on foot I don't care how fit you are it's exhausting take a horse and a guide it's their livelihood and buy a souvenir. The view is stunning.

Everyone should visit this site when in Haiti. It's an amazing peace of history. The structure itself is remarkable and the view from the top is breathtaking.

This is a hidden gem close to CAP. Is Avery nice hike on well maintained road and the views once you are up are amazing. The Citadelle itself is a marvel of history and architecture. Is a must place to visit

A facinating historic fort on the road less travelled. Haiti struggles with its infrastructure so it is surprising the energy that has been put into making this a much visited historic site. Slowly it is taking on the mantle of a well managed location but...More

Really enjoyed the views, the history, and the ride up. Be sure to ride the horse, it would be a long walk if you do not. If you can get a translator who can explain the history.
