From the first response I got from Mitch, I knew that I had found the right person to help guide us around Haiti. Since there has been an extended period of unrest and touring Haiti has not been possible, it took over a year for us to finally travel together. During that time, Mitch was very helpful in providing perspective on the political situation in Haiti and helping me understand the complexities of it all. By the time Mitch made the decision that it was safe to go, I trusted him implicitly and felt 100% comfortable exploring Haiti with him. So, after much anticipation, last week, it was finally advisable for us to travel. I am pleased to say that we were the first tourists in approximately 6 months, and we couldn’t have had a better trip! And, that is all thanks to Mitch. He is prompt, informative, engaging, funny, flexible, and adventurous! We learned so much about Haitian culture and politics from Mitch. Wherever we went, Mitch engaged with the locals, whether they were people he knows (and he knows a lot of people!) or people we encountered. Mitch is always trying to help others and treats everyone with the utmost respect, from teaching kids about the importance of sharing to helping support locals by allowing them to help guide us. Mitch oozes empathy and decency. We couldn’t have had a better time and now consider Mitch much more than a guide. He says “Arrive as our customer, depart as a new friend.” Mission accomplished! Thanks, Mitch, for everything. We can’t wait for our next adventures with you. Come explore Haiti with Mitch. You won’t regret it!

Thank you so much L&C for such an amazing feedback and critique, although I must admit you guys were the most easygoing customers we’ve ever had. We thank you for caring about the well-being of the entire world 🌎 but especially for the special attention you give to Haïti 🇭🇹 . If Haïti only knew, there is so much love near and far just waiting to be embraced. Again, we can not thank enough for all that you do, inside joke, “it’s not easy being a pioneer” but you are and you were. 😁 Leslie Harrison, & Cindy

This was our second time hiring Mitch as a driver, (first time was a tour of the capital and that was amazing) and this time we hired him to pick us up from the airport and then take us back after a week. Can’t say enough good about him! Easy to communicate with and he replies promptly to messages, runs on time, friendly and enjoyable to visit with. He made it work to get us where we needed to go even though it was a time of unrest in the country and we felt safe always with him. Definitely will use again! Thanks, Mitch!

I spent 5 days in Haiti and went with 3 different tour companies to various sites. Mitch's tour was the best! With a great smile, Mitch is a great conversationalist, takes time on tours to explain things, a great listener and knows much about local culture. There is clearly passion in what he does and for his country, and his ENglish is impeccable haveing spent time in USA (1 of the other tour companies sent guide that did not speak English!). Especially impressive was also the personalised service where we had spent weeks emailing ahead. He gave all the information i required to make the most of my visit. He even provided information and adivce when i was joining another tour group! A true gentleman His tours are also tailored to go as fast or as slow as you wish and he is happy to do longer days as required. I have experienced a few tour companies in Haiti and Mitch's was the best!

When I said I am going to Haiti, family members and friends are like “Why ? It’s not safe there” and it did strike me at one point maybe I should called it off. But still I still sticked with the plan, which was the right choice. The arrival area of the airport is a narrow snake like path with loads of taxi drivers asking whether you need a ride. It was fairly overwhelming to be honest! Gladly I saw a man holding my name on ! I am saved haha. This man is Mitch my tour guide during my stay ! He lived in Miami before so his english is fluent ! No issue at all in communication ! The driver Felix, a chubby funny folks speaks a little English but I suspects he understands everything I said lol. So we were off to visit the sites of PAP! We stopped by the cathedral that was collapse during the earthquake; the national museum, where I learnt the history of Haiti, the monuments of the 4 founding fathers, the unfinished Eiffel Tower (just see from the outside) and one of the oldest gothic hotel. Throughout the tour i feel safe and while walking at the city square, I didn’t feel threaten at all. Next time when I visit Haiti, I will go and visit Cap Haitian at the north ! Thanks Mitch ! It has been great !

Mitch and his team were incredible hosts. We spent our first two days in Haiti touring with Sprinteur PTS in and around Port-au-Prince. Mitch has lived in the United States and speaks perfect English, though his knowledge and love of his native Haiti is apparent. While we typically prefer independent travel, we were thrilled with our tours and would not hesitate to book with the group again. While Mitch will offer to allow you to pay with cash upon arrival in Haiti, we paid by bank transfer and had no problems. Do not second guess. Just book with Mitch!
