We wandered up to the 'lagoon' as we explored St. Georges... as boaters we found it interesting.. the boats moored, the boats sunk, the crews working, the restaurants in the area... it was colorful and a bit bustling... I would not make a special trip, but if you happen upon it, enjoy.

We drove by to see the beauty I had seen on pictures. It was a marina and nothing out of the ordinary.

Walk out to the cruise boat pier or climb the hill to the 18th century Fort George and look back on a town that exudes cuteness. Take a walk around the market to experience daily life for the locals and stop somewhere to have a drink and watch the beautiful people that live here.

This is a well-kept marina area, perfect for strolling and browsing in a few shops and gazing wistfully at the boats.

This lagoon is just beautiful warm water with lots of small boats dock there.Apart from just this I don't see much about it. If we are talking about the area is another matter. I am not greatly inspired to be able to say much about it.

It's a lagoon made into a marina. The boats dock there and you see old wrecks and new cruisers. It's nice to walk around for some shops and eateries. Tina Toronto

Not sure what we were supposed to expect here. Brrr it was very cold up there and couldn't see much as the clouds were so low. Great big fish swimming around the jetty.

The marina part of town. Good to go and walk around and see where the money is - the big boats. Quite a change from the Carenage where the fishermen come in. All beautiful just in a different way.

The lagoon and surroundings have had a complete make over, thanks to Peter deSavry. It is still a work in progress. There is a wonderful bakery in Port Louie. The owners bar-b-que every Friday for lunch. Wonderful buns they have made for the burgers. You add all the fixings and sit outside. Delicious. Port Louie has a nice restaurant also.... More

Until recently, the Lagoon was a muddy swamp filled with wrecked boats that were destroyed in Hurricanes Ivan and Emily. The development of the adjacent marina by Peter de Savoury has led to the Lagoon being cleaned out, the wrecks removed and decent jetties being built. It is now a colourfull and attractive location although there are still a few... More
