My husband and I, along with our 23 year old son, spent the day at the Corales Golf Club. Our caddie, Mureno, was fantastic. He’s been a caddy at this club for 44 years. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. He spent extra time with our son, giving him some very helpful pointers. He was funny and easy to talk to and he made our day more memorable. Every single hole on the course is absolutely beautiful. It is well taken care of.

The woman at the bar outside must have been having a bad day, because she was absolutely NOT friendly. But the hamburgers we got for lunch were really good. They tasted flame broiled.

Overall, we had a great time and we would highly recommend this course.

Let me start by saying we played Punta Espada the day before and we were blown away. Today left us wanting that and the golf course did the same.

Had we not done Punta Espada the day before, I might have a different t review but here it goes.

The pro shop at check in is just so so…the clubhouse is severely lacking.

Sammy our caddie was great and took care of us from step one. He was friendly, helpful and kept us moving along and never held up.

The course was a lot of fun but nothing compared to Punta Espada, less on the water and less fun in multiple ways. We paid the same green fees at both.

The beer carts were less stocked.

The overall vibe wasn’t there for this course and for the price left me wanting alot more.

One of the most expensive golf courses on the island. Payed 260 usd (booked online) plus 40 caddy fee plus tip. In short, it was a disappointment. I am an average golfer but even I can judge if a course is in good shape. I decided to play because it is a PGA location and due to its great scenery. In fact the holes on the sea are absolutely stunning. Simply gorgeous! However, The fairways sometimes looked very poorly watered. The greens were very poor, extremly slow and in bad shape. The bunkers were not white fluffy sand but very hard and thick sand. My caddy told me they only put the nice sand in for the PGA tour and spend 6 weeks preparing the course to top quality. I get the feeling that Corales benefits from its PGA reputation but does not reinvest. The golf carts are at least 15-20 years old without GPS. The steal frame for the roof had so much rust it broke during our round and the roof came off! No kidding. Another caddy had to bring a “new” cart. No water supply on the round or snacks like on other dom rep courses. Clubhouse underwhelming and not really friendly. Half way house bar was not staffed, had to walk in kitchen to ask for chips. Overall, not worth the money. I played Iberostar the day before. Fantastic course, super friendly staff and the course was in great shape but obviously not on the sea. Worth every dime (140 eur).

Played a couple of days after the PGA event so conditions were fantastic.
The course is an amazing design with some fantastic (world class) ocean holes and some great features. The Devils Elbow has two amazing holes - 16 is tough but not in the same league.
Club house is nice and facilities are good.
Sadly the rating is all down to the fore caddy experience.
Moaned about how he wasn’t getting enough loops because it was a private course, used my own rangefinder to tell me yardages ( when he finally got up to my ball), let me rake my own bunkers and gave some truly terrible putting lines - one was out by 8 feet on a 15 foot putt!
But what really killed it was complaining - quite verbally for a couple of minutes- after clearly not being paid 25% over the minimum.
That’s just embarrassing, and not pleasant after the poor service.
The course is awesome - a ‘must play’- but I would not play it again if I had to use a fore caddy. He added nothing and turned a 5 star course into a 1 star experience.
In contrast, the caddy’s at Teeth of the Dog (4 rounds, at random) were stellar.

Played Corales as a single yesterday at 830am. The course was in great condition, and the pace of play was excellent. My caddie Jose was excellent and gave me great advice on shot selections and green reading. The proximity to the ocean makes it a memorable experience -- you not only have fantastic Vistas, but you are exposed to the strong sea breezes, etc.

Even without the 4 ocean holes this was a terrific golf experience. The holes along the ocean made it fabulous! Great golf course that rewarded good shots.
