This program looks fantastic a first sight: swim with dauphins, snorkel with sharks, etc. but this dream turned very bitter in the end.
Indeed, although the dauphin’s show is of good quality, be aware that DolphinIslandPark will try to get as much money as possible from your experience. And this not particularly in a nice a friendly way. Indeed, the back of the brochure says “photo is not included” but the real fact is “photo is not permitted at all” (expect for taking pictures of sleepy sharks in another pool aside) and dare you if you just try to take a picture during your dolphin experience yourself!
The fact is your assigned guide will take many pictures of you swimming and kissing dolphins during the show. Then, once back to the DolphinIslandPark, you will be invited by a hostess to watch on a screen all pictures taken by your guide. Hostess then just shoot a very expensive pricing for you get these pictures: 90 USD. And of course there is absolutely no possibility to only select few pictures that are best. The 90 USD is for the full package! Take it or leave it my friend!
The fact that you cannot take pictures during the dolphin show has nothing to do with security purposes or criteria. It is here to get as much money out of you as possible. If I were DolphinIslandPark, I would change ASAP “photo is not included” to “photo is not permitted” on the back of the brochure. This is misleading, fake and abusive and I am sure a smart lawyer could take you to court for that.

My wife and I did the Royal Dolphin Experience and had a great time. Our guide Nico was very friendly and the dolphin trainers and rest of the staff made the experience memorable.

Never go. Horrible enclosure of these beautiful mammals. Worst. In 2023? Should never exist, am ashamed that it was part of my cruise.

Great. The animal shows were the best. The price is reasonable. Got to see many exotic animals. 5 shows including dolphin and sea lion....dancing horses and parrot shows. The parrots are so wise and did many neat tricks

This was such a fun experience! Honestly I was a little intimidated and didn't really know what expect, especially dealing with wild animals. But it was so much fun and worth every penny. Each guide made us feel very comfortable and very knowledgeable of the dolphins as they should.
We purchased the photos that they took. They cost $99 I believe but worth it in my opinion.
p.s: Don't worry if you can't swim, they can accommodate you. There was some people that couldn't and they will allow you to experience the dolphins without having to swim in the middle.

Beware of these cheats, they do not refund unpaid tours. There is bad treatment of tourists and they steal their money.

This was my first time swimming with dolphins! It was a lot more interactive than I thought it would be. The dolphins seemed very well taken care of. They are so sweet and friendly. This is something I will never forget!

What an amazing experience! 👍👍👍 We booked the Royal Swim and it was totally worth every penny. Caesar was our guide and he really made the whole encounter perfecto. There are 18 dolphins at this establishment and they all appear healthy and well-trained. We were able to have 2 personal dolphins. Prior to the trip we had decided NOT to purchase the photo package, however, after viewing the fun photos that were taken, we could not resist. Ninety dollars well- spent for the memories and laughs we have every time we look at our fun day.
In addition to the up close and personal dolphin encounter we were led to another place to don a scuba mask and swim with nurse sharks, rays, and schools of tropical fish. This topped off an already great adventure.
Be advised not to wear any jewelry or bring valuables as you must remove them and place them in an unlocked bin (locker) prior to your encounter. We also brought our own water and towels.
In addition to the up close and personal dolphin encounter we were led to another place to don a scuba mask and swim with nurse sharks, rays, and schools of tropical fish. This topped off an already great adventure.

Our guide and photographer, Cesar Lopez, was fantastic! The dolphins are well cared for and there’s a second “ocean pool” that you can go snorkeling to see mantas , sharks and stunning schools of fish. They provide the equipment too. Be sure to tip them, we’ll worth it!

Overall we enjoyed this activity. My only complaint is that I paid $50 as an "observer" only meaning I did not intend to swim with the dolphins. When I arrived at the area I was kept far away from where they were and could barely see them swim with the dolphins. I felt it was inconsiderate and unfair for them to keep me that far away. I saw other guests complaining about the same thing.
Other than that they enjoyed the excursion.

Hello, it is actually a very regular question in our clients. Yes, you can step on a very safe platform, in addition to that at all times you are wearing a life jacket that would keep you afloat all the time.
