Located in Scape Park, Cap Cana. After passing an interesting trail where you will find some of the most peculiar flora and fauna in the Caribbean, you will reach this spectacular lagoon at the foot of the 65mt high cliff. These turquoise waters have a depth of 37 meters in its deepest point.

This was an amazing day trip! Wear comfortable shoes and your swimsuit! Hoyo Azul is gorgeous and fun! The staff were wonderful and we all laughed and cheered each other on to jump in! Take plenty of cash, as there is an opportunity to buy photo packages that we were not aware of, so missed out, but we had waterproof cell phone cases so we got a few videos and photos.

Perfect after our horse ride.

Great walk through the trees following a coral lined winding path. The dock allowed an easy access to clear water that was very refreshing.
Our guide furnished flotation devices for non swimmers.

Super Cool Swimming Cave Pt. 2

I have had lots of people ask me about hiring Luiggy to take them to the Hoyo Azul. Don't know of a way to edit my review, so just adding here. You can reach Luiggy on Instagram under LuiggyTravel or on WhatsApp at 1 809 443 0600. Tell him H2sMom referred you. :) He's a great guy!

Also, forgot to mention that right outside the Hoyo Azul that day, there was a guy with a huge iguana. He asked us if we wanted to pet him. I thought he was just being nice to the kids, so we stopped and pet him and took pictures. Then, we went on. I turned around and Luiggy was paying him a tip for us. He also was our photographer that day.

SCAPE PARK EXCURSION is the best excursion ever!!! Its a must see

swimming in the underground cave pool, zip lining , swimming in the waterfalls all included. loved loved this park. lots to do for the money you spend!

Great Fun and an adventure !

We wanted to leave our resort for a day and glad we did ! The beauty of the hidden caves and the chance to jump in them was exhilrating ! Let alone the zip lines throughout the facility and then the big drop off by Yaya's cave wa fun ! If your looking for an adventure day this is it!

Super cool swimming cave

We hired Luigi Travel, whom I'd highly recommend! He's awesome. He took us to Hoyo Azul and down the steps into the cave. There were people on a tour all crowded together. When they left, it was just us and the local kids. There are some big rocks out in the water, so I was a little hesitant to dive into the cave. It took me a while to work up my nerve. But, once I did, it was awesome! So refreshing! Not something you get to do every day. The kids liked Luigi so much we had him take us to the airport as well when we left. He texted us that evening to find out if we'd gotten back home to the states safely. We (unbeknownst to us) got the last flight out before they shut the country down due to Covid.

Beautiful cave swimming or
jumping into the water from a platform. Someone there to help if needed. Go check it out if you visit Punta cana.
