Pelicano watersports was one of the most competent and professional dive shops we have dove with. From the time we have met them to saying goodbyes, each person affiliated with this shop shows extreme courtesy and competency. I commend them for creating such a beautiful atmosphere for divers at all skill levels. Again, every person we met there was great. But dive masters/instructors Carlos and Royni were really shining stars. They were close, observing but never interfering and restricting diving activity. They were very flexible but never compromised the safety of our group. Were Punta Cana scuba spots on top on our list? Probably not (maybe except Astron. It was amazing). But, Pelicano crew were outstanding and they did everything they could to make dives more interesting and exciting. I commend their efforts and quality and recommend this dive shop to anyone who wants to explore underwater beauty of Punta Cana.

Great professional service at the Pelicano Sports Center in Punta Cana and very friendly and helpful staff - it is worth every cent and more! The team answered any question, was patient with a newbe learner like me and helped with my first two dives into 40 feet open ocean water. We had experienced divers with the group who enjoyed the outing as well. I can recommend Pelicano Sports Center fully.

Had a good experience with Pelicano Sports. Javier picked us up from our resort (15 minute drive away) on-time each day, also gave us good info about the area. Dave was a great instructor, made things as simple and fun as possible. Overall a great experience.

I’ve been to many H10s in Mexico and now Punta Cana. I have also been a lifelong water sport enthusiast: Snorkel, Scuba (certified), Waterski (barefoot), Kneeboarding, Sailing, Windsurfing, just to name a few… The full week I was in Punta Cana the weather was absolutely PERFECT for sailing, but there was one problem standing in the way of me fully enjoying my vacation experience… An “employee” by the name of Haviar. This individual is not suited for his station in life. From him I heard every excuse as to why I couldn’t go sailing: - “Covid” (But ALL other beach and water experiences was open.) - I have to “wait for The Captain”. - “If I let you go, then others will come and want to sail too.” - “Everyone is at lunch now.” (I offered to help bring the boat to the water and rig it myself, but Haviar said he couldn’t risk me hurting my back) - “The Navy will not permit it”, but when I asked where the “Navy ships” are, Haviar said the are on quads. (4 wheelers) …It went on and on like this for days, UNTIL… Haviar FINALLY agreed to let me go, but I had to be there in “1hour30”. Given the time he sent the text, that would mean at noon. I showed up at noon, and Haviar said I was early and would have to wait until 1:30PM. (He admitted his mistake) At that point he said “Fine, I will let you go, but ONLY this one time.”. There was more where he told me he speaks 5 languages: Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian… I had to laugh to myself, because all 3 of those languages are based off of Latin and are all but identical.🤣 Long story short: The REAL reason that Haviar didn’t want me to go sailing is because they don’t make money letting me go sailing, and they are lazy. To Haviar and the white Australian, enjoy your miserable life that your miserable attitude got you.

I had an excellent experience with Pelicano Sports at Ocean Blue and Sand. I am thankful for the great training and service provided by their PADI certified instructors! Javier and Carlos were very professional and knowledgeable. Without hesitation I recommend them for beginners or advanced divers training.
