Welcome to the fabulous Iberostate Bávaro Golf & Club, created by leading designer P. B. Dye. This magnificent course boasts a length of 6,897 yards, a rating of 73, and a 126 slope. The 105 white silica sand bunkers dotted throughout the course form an eye-catching contrast with the intensely green Supreme Paspalum grass, perfect for this tropical region. Together with the lakes, streams, and even some desert-like features, it creates a combination of colors that is impossible to be forgotten. Simply put, an irresistible temptation for both Pro and Amateur guests staying either at our fine Iberostar properties or at any other resort nearby.

Nice holiday course.

We played 3 times her Feb/March.
Transport from . Hire of clubs, we choose the up grade sets fine.
Proshop informative pleasant ladies. Lads on, buggy hire very helpful, my husband asked for Drive loft to be changed, I asked for the putter to be changed, all done.
Course....Not a difficult course (maybe because I beat hubby three times)
Drinks and snacks provided ( chap could have been a bit more friendly, felt I was drinking too much, as I had coke each time he came around. ( free ) or maybe we didn't tip enough each time??.
We were a little disappointed that the course didn't have a world handicap rating, so we played off our home club handicaps.
Price......a little expensive for the easiness of the course, but golf is in the Dominican. The course was in good condition, coming from a wet winter in England.

Overall, we had three enjoyable games here, and if staying in this part of Dominican again would definitely play again.

Great course with lackluster staff

Course is typical of a resort course, immaculate conditions, and very scenic. The Pete Dye twist is what makes it really challenging and interesting. However, the staff are mostly unfriendly compared to the staff at the rest of the Iberostar property we're staying at. When we tried to order food after our round, the bartender asked what we wanted, and after asking for nachos, she just said, "It's not included" and took the menus and walked away. I was a bit taken aback and the lack of service. I'll play the course again when I'm at the Iberostar property in Punta Cana but only because the course is fantastic, not because the staff offer any meaningful level of hospitality.

Great standard, Great Value Great Golf! 5 Stars!

Booked before travelling to the Dominican having gained some feedback from friends and the internet as to where to play. I decided to go for the Bavaro Golf Resort and booked up the 5 round deal offered by Odile Diaz which would include transportation to and from the course from my hotel, free drinks and snacks from the drinks cart, a drinks and burger deal after the round, buggy hire and access to the practice range and putting green prior to each round.

From the moment I met Alfredo at the hotel for my pick up all the way through check in at the Pro Shop, the range and the starter all staff were very friendly and happy to help.

I worried that my pick up 30 mins prior to my tee time wouldn’t leave long enough to be ready but it was adequate enough to have a few practice shots and putts before being assigned a buggy and then driving to the 1st tee.

The course was in fantastic condition. The fairways and tees were cut and presented well, greens cut and ironed and pin positions changed every day.

The speed of play was brilliant. I played generally in two balls each day and we managed to skip round in under 3 hours each time which may have also been due to the early start each morning.

I am a + handicap golfer and although the fairways are very generous the course offers many features to keep all standard of golfer interested.

Having played the blue tees for the first three rounds I played the black tees for the final two days and with the pins and tee box positions being changed each day it brought a different way to play each hole each time.

From a value for money offering this golf course is exceptional and offers such great playability for all standards!

The green staff are also as friendly as the clubhouse staff. Always happy to chat and good for a joke and a laugh.

The course offers a wide range of holes from short par threes of 100-150 yards up to the 11th that can extend to 225 yards with a back tee and pin I faced yesterday. There are some very well designed par 4’s from the 350 yard 3rd with a cave bunker right of the green, to the long par 4 14th, with its famous large lizard/iguana that was about 6 ft long that can be seen some days on the rocks at the back of the green. I didn’t manage to get a picture as the day I saw it I didn’t have my phone and every other day it wasn’t there!!

Such a great variety of golf holes that when matched up with pins that are moved every day gives you a fresh feel when playing it 5 times in 6 days as I did this week.

If you can drive the ball 250+ play off the Black tees as it’s a great course of 6718 yards with the Blue and White tees taking off 600 and 750 yards respectively. Don’t have to hit driver everywhere but with the friendly wide fairways you can always give it a go!

So, in summary, if you want to play some great value, high quality golf while in the Dominican I can’t recommend highly enough Bavaro Golf Resort. Many thanks everyone.

Golf was decent, I question the cleanliness of the water bottles and the strange little sandwiches they provide, as many of us felt unwell after playing this course both times.

A real let down

Very unorganised and over priced. The bar and pro shop staff were useless. Much better courses on the island to choose from.

Great Local Course

Nicely done, well kept course. We had a 9am tee time and it was already pretty humid and hot. We didn’t hydrate enough the day before, so make sure to prepare for the humidity. A Gatorade would have been nice but unfortunately the cart staff just had water, fruit and sandwiches.

Would encourage anyone staying in the area to play this course, great value. Watch out for the sand traps some of them are several feet deep. Really cool green on front 9 with cave like feature green side.

Amazing quality and value for money

This is a truly championship Pete Dye golf course - in perfect condition tee to green on every hole. The staff are helpful, friendly and professional and really want to ensure you have a great round. Cedano was particularly helpful. The beverage cart is included in the green fee and the staff are amazing. The green-keeping staff are everywhere and always had a smile and greeting. The practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, bunker and chipping area and these are included in the green fee, as are the buggies. Great value compared to other courses in the DR. Highly recommended - we played 10 times and it was a real privilege and we never tired of the course. Highly recommended.

What a golf course! Really enjoyed playing there as a beginner player. Especially liked the hole No 8. The staff is very friendly and I booked tee time through email (many thanks to Ms. Fiorella!).
