We went to these "beach shops" twelve years ago and loved visiting them - my husband still wears a "spinning ring" that he bought way back then. We walked the LONG beach walk from our resort to visit there again and were SO uncomfortable, we didn't go in ONE shop. If the shop owners would just allow patrons to come in and look around - instead of being SO overbearing - it would have been just what we remembered. I understand haggling and negotiating and wanting people to come see what you have to offer but - it was truly just too much. Such a shame. We were so looking forward to it!

We bought a bunch of souvenirs here. A little pricey but negotiatable. They will take American dollars but be mindful they won't have change

Thanks to the young lady who wrote the 1st review, 8 of us chipped in and took a cab-van here from our resort! EVERYTHING is negotiable out there! I only spent $68 cash and got 6 bottles of Liqour and DR t-shirt!

They have some of everything out there, plus it’s right off the beach and you can eat some non-touristy DR food while facing the beach!

Perfect example, this guy was trying to sell me an XL Punta Cana T-Shirt for $12.00, I negotiated it down to $8.00! I got a $35 bottle of Aged Rum for $25!

I highly recommend this place to people that want to venture away from the resort and have fun haggling on souvenirs, liquor, apparel, coffee, jewelry, and accessories! We had a ball! The people were very friendly and there are at least 20-30 different booths/stores in there.

WARNING!!!!! Although the haggling is fun, the workers can be ANNOYING AND AGGRESSIVE! They will follow you and beg you to buy from them. It gets old after a while. And I know...I know...they have to make a living but sheesh!
