We were using Dominican Quest for transfers from Santo Domingo Airport to a downtown hotel, to LA Romana Cruise Ship terminal and back to the airport. We can report that erverything went well on a high quality level regarding communication, advanced payments, cars, drivers, schedule. We used 'private transfers', they are not the cheapest, but reliable, well organized and safe. We are german, communication was in english.

We booked round trip airport transfers with this company and also decided to book a tour to Saona Island with them. The airport transfers were smooth and on time. I booked and paid online ahead of time and they had our name printed waiting for us to arrive at the airport. The drivers didn’t speak much English but they were courteous and efficient. Our contact person, Julio, for the Saona trip and for the return airport transfer was very communicative and accommodating (we had to pay with a credit card for the Saona trip and he went out of his way to meet us to make the purchase). Our trip to Saona was amazing, although the van was full and the seats were tight if the person in front of us had it reclined. Once we arrived we were greeted by our tour guide, David (who spoke English) and he accompanied us each step of the way. There were 4 of us and another family of 6. We boarded a speed boat which first brought us to a spot to snorkel, then the natural pool and finally the island. There wasn’t much communication about where we were going and it was a little different than explained as far as the order goes but it was all great. We saw some fish when we snorkeled which was cool. We didn’t expect to snorkel so it was a welcome surprise. The natural pool is perfection with its clear, calm and warm water. There were a few starfish in the “pool” which made for some great photos. A photographer accompanied our trip and took some photos of us in this location and they were great. We negotiated a lower price and he only took cash so keep that in mind. Once we arrived on Saona island, we got off the boat into paradise. Palm trees, crystal clear water—amazing. We had a private lunch (traditional Dominican meal of chicken, fish, rice, fruit) which was pretty good. There are a lot of people on the island that try to sell you things or services. You have to be firm. We bought some pineapple drinks $10 each. Some masseuses were very persistent and tried to start massaging offering free first minute. We had to be firm. The water on Saona island once again was warm, clear and had some nice small waves. Perfection. I could have stayed in the water all day. When the day was finished around 3:30, our guide, David, said we could go on the pontoon boat as originally planned or we could go back via the speed boat. We opted to stay on the speed boat to keep the group small. Although they offered that we could stop back at the natural pool we all decided to head straight back since we had gotten a little too much sun. Pick up at 8 am and got back by about 5 so plan for a full day.

We have travelled to the Dominican Republic twice now and both times we have used Dominican Quest for our airport transport and for multiple excursions. The customer service is excellent. They are responsive, prompt, attentive and make you feel very welcome. Both times I have dealt with Julio and he has taken such amazing care of us that we can’t wait to go back and enjoy their hospitality again! Julio and his team are a big part of the reason that we will absolutely return to the DR!

This was my family’s first trip to the Dominican Republic. We used Dominican Quest for transport from and to the airport as well as booking a tour to Saona Island through them. The staff was professional, friendly and extremely helpful! The tour to Saona Island and the natural pool was an experience of a lifetime. Our guide, David, made us feel welcomed and part of the family. A special shout out to Julio at Dominican Quest for all of your help and follow ups. You helped make this trip a wonderful experience for my family! Your help with booking, scheduling and making changes made everything go smoothly and allowed us to enjoy our time without worry! Can’t wait to come back!

We did the Saona island tour and it was wonderful! Dominican Quest picked us up at our condo in Juan Dolio and took us to Bayahibe Beach. Our guide, David, explained the sites and some history on our drive. The catamaran to the island was fun and very comfortable. When we arrived we were amazed at the beauty - perfectly clear water, pristine sand, lovely palm trees, hammocks and lounge chairs. The lunch was delicious and the entire experience very memorable. We enjoyed the open bar and the drinks in coconuts and pineapples for a little extra! We also stopped to swim in the pool in the sea and saw star fish. Dominican Quest was very responsive and easy to communicate confirming plans for our group of 5 adults. The van was very clean, comfortable and air conditioned. Everyone we came in contact with was very nice. Bring extra money for souvenirs on the island!!!

We booked two excursions with Julio at Domminican Quest. Julio answered every question and the bookings were paid by Paypal. Confirmaton with details of the excursions were sent by email. The trips were arranged and scheduled like clockwork. Every workers we were in contact were courteous and professional. Christian was our guide to Saona island and now he is my new best friend in Punta Cana. He is a goverment certified guide, fluent in English and knowledgeable and above all he kept us safe. The prices Julio quoted are at par with the competition so there is no need to negotiate. Our Santo Domingo trip was arranged last minute and Julio came through.

Fabulous Airport Pickup, On time with our name plainly visible.
Then a transfer from One resort to another, another timely wonderful experience.
Finally back to the airport in plenty of time. Julio was very accommodating and responded courteously and timely to all requests and changes.

Highly recommend this service.

This was not a good experience. I will say our driver who picked us up from our hotel was very kind and friendly- he was on time and pointed out lots of landmarks to us. That’s the only good thing I can say about our day.

We did a catamaran “snorkeling” tour to Catalina island. It was specifically advertised as a snorkeling tour but when we got to Catalina island we were told we could go cliff jumping in very deep water. I was confused and asked if we could snorkel and was told it would be fine. The water was very deep, choppy, and we had to swim quite a bit to get to shallow water and see anything. My husband got sucked under the boat on his way back in and called for help but no one noticed. I was able to jump in and grab him but it was a scary experience. We got back in and another couple asked about the lack of fish and we were told it wasn’t a good area for snorkeling….then why did we pay for a snorkeling tour? Lunch was not good. To be fair, I don’t think Dominican quest actually ran this tour-I think we booked through them and were put on a third party tour but it was horrible. They need to find a new catamaran company to work with.

Dominican Quest was great, driving me from SDQ to Casa de Campo. VERY responsive. My flight changed and when I notified them, they confirmed immediately. They sent a reminder the week before.
Humberto was my driver. Kind, safe driver. My flight was on time, but it took 2 hours to get out of the airport due to a broken jetbridge and passport control. He patiently waited (Thank you!), and was also on time to pick me up for the journey home. I like that I can pay in advance online so I don't have to carry a lot of cash.
Thank you for being my first point of contact in your beautiful country.

Outstanding professional service for private airport transfer from PUJ to Punta Cana resorts. Excellent communication via WhatsApp. Comfortable vehicle. And for only a few dollars more than a taxi, it was well worth the peace of mind. Highly recommended.
