Great experience!! We were met at the Cruise ship dock and driven to the site. Had a private guide and equipment provided. We had about 1 hr in the water - quite a unique experience in volcanic venting warm water with bubbles continuously. Lots of interesting fish and coral

This activity is NOT for the those folks who want an 'air conditioned bus style' water experience. It is NOT for those who wish to be herded into a group and 'hand-carried' through a manufactured path in 'bathtub' water. It IS a snorkel experience for those who wish to actively participate in their entertainment. From the van driver to the... More

This was a great snorkel site and the reef is very beautiful. HOWEVER.....it is a rocky path into the water and a very clumsy way to start out and get out with the snorkel equipment! The guides are as helpful as they can be when "older" and not so agile tourists are flailing around trying to walk on the stones.... More

Went on our own to snorkel after trying ScottsHead. At Champagne the fish come to say hello as opposed to you doing a 'find a fish' hunt. Easy to get to and a good snorkeling spot, sometimes spoilt by loud music from thoughtless tour boats. Nice little bar to have a drink in and good changing / toilets etc. Helpful... More

I booked this through the cruise ship because swimming in bubbles created by volcanic activity sounded interesting. When we got there and walked to the take off area it was a 100% rock beach. The beach was very difficult to walk on and the surf made it extremely difficult, and I would say dangerous, to get in and out of... More

Visited Dominica from the cruise ship Britannia and was picked up from the ship, had two great dives and returned safely to ship. Dive master Von was a great guide and we also hunted Lion fish and witnessed the famous champagne bubbles. A great experience

Seriously loved this place and the people. I hope folks reading these reviews don't confuse the folks who run and give guided tours at Champagne Reef and the folks who give bus or boat rides to get to the folks at Champagne Reef. That would be unfair. Truly, Bert and the lady behind the counter (sorry, don't know her name)... More

So cool to swim in volcanic water. I went out with my 4 year old who is just learning to snorkel and they were great with her. We went two days in a row and the water was very calm. To be honest, it would have been a complete waste of time to go with one of the boat tours.... More

We booked this shore excursion through cruise line so we were herded with the masses into two waiting vans and then . . . We sat~for 30 minutes waiting for all shore excursions to load and leave at the same time~this was very frustrating. Once we arrived at Champagne Reef, the Dominica people could not have been any nicer! Please... More
