We took the trolley trip around Roseau this is a perfect relaxing way for all abilities including wheelchairs to access this wonderful friendly island and see the lovely town of Roseau doing so well since the destruction from the 2017 hurricane...a great chance to way and wish Happy New year to families along the trip take the time it's so worth it.

We were at Roseau seafront having lunch at a snackette and a local driver Bernard approached us politely offering private tour. We were not decided yet so we took his phone number. Next day we called him and booked a tour-his friend Russel (phone 17672450959,rbertrand288@gmail.com) picked us up with hiš van at our guesthouse. Russel was a real gem - very knowledgable - history, actualities of Dominica and also in general. Polite and driving safely which was important for us since we were there with our toddler. We visited Ti Tou George (top site just before cruise ship crowd!!) Waterfalls, sulfur bath etc...Important to start latest at 8am or after 4pm to avoid crouds). Higly recommend if you want more than just taxi.

This is the second time we've visited Dominica, first time we visited a beach, this time we decided to see a bit of the flora and fauna and visit the rainforest. We met a great guide near the port who offered a trip to the Botanical Garden and then into the rainforest to see Trafalgar Falls and some volcanic sulphur pools finishing with a pit stop for water and fruit. What a lovely time we had and great value at US$30 all in for 2 adults and 2 children. Falls were beautiful, sulphur pools interesting to see and the children learnt so much about the environment and geology of the area. The pit stop offered water and drinks and a variety of locally grown fruits for a small donation. On our back he gave a tour of the town as we passed through. He was so knowledgable and proud of this island. I've heard people say Dominica isn't worth stopping at (if cruising) but give the place a go, I'm glad we did!

Dominica is a little island really worth exploring further. Though I only went on a tour, we travelled deep into the mountains, thru the towns, and went snorkelling in the champagne reef. The island is abundant with jungle, and lots of fruits and vegetables growing everywhere wild. Its one big volcano, so evidence everywhere such as water boiling up into creeks, and the trails of bubbles of the Champagne Reef. Decent snorkelling, interesting to feel the bubbles on your skin, though not as many as you might expect. Very mountainous, with deep, stunning valleys. Reminds me of Jurassic Park, Oahu. Friendly people. A simpler island. Of St. Lucia, Antigua, Grenada, and Tortola, Dominica is definitely my favorite because of its abundance, beauty, friendliness, and simplicity. Also less expensive than neighbouring islands.

I am a cruiser on a sailboat. I had to stop in Dominica for a few days due to weather. I went into town for provisions and was appalled at the panhandlers, unemployment, etc. I will skip Dominica when I travel back north. Not safe.

The island is a rain forest and beaches are black volcanic sands. The road train around the capital was about 2 hours. We went round the back roads and then to a Botanical Garden, which sowed several types of trees and plants, also exotic birds. The guide as very enthusiastic about the island and enjoyed telling us about this island.

They take you to the most beautiful waterfall where you can swim if you want to. Also they have the strongest rum punch! Just wait until after you come back from the waterfall to drink it!!
