We went there twice during our stay in Havana. Was in the early afternoon and once near sunset time. It looked very different and I would prefer going there near sunset.

An incredible place to see. The huge portraits on the sides of the hotels facing the plaza! It's definitely worth a visit while in Havana.

You can't say you travelled to Havana without taking a picture with Che no? Better is read a bit about the revolution first and you have a better sense of what happened when you are on the square.

The plaza itself is pretty bland, with some large pictures of revolutionary heroes. We went inside the museum, but didn't actually see the exhibit. We paid a few CUC to go to the top, and we really enjoyed the view.

We did a tour of this with a guide which I strongly suggest the hop on hop off bus also travels here worth it to have the guide to understand the history rules only allow tourists stay for a short while

When I went here in September we hired a classic car. Nice way to do it since it is more of a drive-by kind of place in my opinion. As far as cash, CUC is the only way to go. I had 500 Euro from a previous trip which made... More
