Welcome to RutaBikes! Since 2012 we offer Bike City tours in Havana, as well as bikes rental for self-exploring the city or for long journeys along Cuba. With our local guides you will have a glimpse of our customs, culture or our daily life. Our three mainly city tours: Classic, Sunset and Bay, are properly designed to give you a first impression of this city and its suburban areas. Our tours cover some of those “must see” places you have heard about, but also many areas out of the beaten tracks: Hidden places, small alleys, secret corners, and always close to the Cuban people. In RutaBikes we are able to take care of either a single client or large groups. If you're planing your holidays with friends or family, let us take care about every detail: Bikes, transportation, accommodation and else. Are you one of those who like to explore on your own? Take your own way with one of our bikes. RutaBikes is a bicycle world in Havana!

A group of 6 of us went on a guided bike tour around the City of Havana. Our bikes were in excellent shape, our guide and mechanic were friendly, knowledgeable and just plain fun. You will love the Ruta Bike staff. I have used them the last 6 times I went to Cuba. They are safe too. If you want to see the real Havana, do it on a bicycle and use Ruta Bikes.

RutaBikes Classic Bike Tour was the best decision we made to acquaint ourselves with Havana! Kiko was a fantastic guide! We ended up having a private tour of the city and got to pick Kiko's brain about day-to-day life in Cuba. The bikes are in good condition and while the tour is on the longer side (4 hours), it went by incredibly quickly and was a moderate ride (no big hills!). We recommend this for everyone who visits Havana for the first time!

bikes were modern and in very good condition. people very helpfull. we can recomand ruta bikes. we did a tour to varadero and back. no flat tires, no problemes with the bikes. attention please: take enough euro or dollar with you. you have to give a deposite of 200€ for the bikes and after that you should have enuogh money for your holidays

RutaBikes made sure we had a safe and informative journey. Simply the best - only wish we had reserved longer time!
They made sure our helmets were fitted properly, the bikes were in great shape, and care was made to make sure we stayed together along the roadways. Very informative with stops along the way. Five stars!

Did the morning tour of Havana by bicycle - had a great tour led by Sam who took us on an amazing route through the city that included so many highlights and beautiful places. So much diversity was in the tour - from forests to the amazing cemetery, to the Plaza of the Revolution, through neighbourhoods, and of course Old Havana and the Malecon! Sam shared so much great botanical, historical, and geographical information on the way. Kiko was also great backup, watching out for us as we rode through the streets!

The staff at Ruta Bikes were very helpful ahead of the visit and everything with the 11-day rental went smoothly. The bike, a Serious Cedar, was light, robust and well maintained. My only note of caution is that I wished I'd brought a pump from home as the one from the shop was a bit weak.

I did the sunset Havana tour with Kiko in November. The tour was well-paced, informative whilst entertaining, and Kiko is as charmistic as they come! This was my 5th time doing a bike tour in a new city, and this tour was the best. I particularly loved the afternoon timing (3pm) because the streets were a tad bit quieter.

Booked a bike tour in havana to see the sunset and the city! The guide Sam was very informative and friendly and helped me feel safe while driving on the streets. The staff in the office were very nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend a bike tour with Ruta bikes to see havana!

My bike tour with Ruta was amazing. Sam was incredibly knowledgeable about Cuban history, culture, current events, and architecture, and spoke English fluently. I had many questions about this city/country/culture, and Sam answered all of them in great detail. On top of everything, it was a super-fun bike ride and covered a lot of ground in Havana. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about this vibrant and interesting place.

Saludos mario puedes reservar online en nuestra web el tour vale 30 cuc, diariamente se hacen dos tour. El clasico que comienza a las 8:00 am y el sunset que empieza a las 3:30 pm. Puedes escoger cualquiera de los dos.

I'm so sorry I am so late answering this question - I was traveling and did not have internet access.
I booked this trip by contacting Rutabikes. However, next time, I would book it directly with my fantastic guide, Boris Diaz Rodriguez. He will arrange everything for you, including bicycles. His e-mail is borisdr.nauta.cu.

How did you get from the ship to the start of the tour? How did you get back to the ship? If by taxi, how much did it cost? Thanks.

Taxi both ways. Some taxis will come back to get you but we got one on the Malecon back. Only pay $10 CUC. We got scammed into paying $20 CUC when everyone else in our group paid lower.
