Awesome views, clean and very well kept. Don't miss the light house, the pictures are incredible from any point. Absolutely beautiful! Wear tennis shoes, I didn't and it was hard to walk.

Only saw from a distance but beautiful lighthouse and nice picture postcard shot, wish I had had enough time to go over to the island where this fort and much more history. BUT still nice to look at from across the water.

This is an interesting fort. There is a ceremony, in ceremonial costumes that is fun to watch. It also involves swinging a lighted lantern about. Then the cannon is fired at 9 pm to signify the gates of the city are now closed. It is...More

Just a short taxi out of Havana is El Morro. It was a nice day to walk around, explore and get some great views and history of Havana, the bay and the Florida Straits.

This area is typical of Carribean island fortifications. There is a shop for buying Cuban cigars and Havana Club rum. Cuba is catering to tourists and appreciate American tourists. Although the rules for visiting have changed, I would definitely travel here again.

A great view from the cruise ship on the way out of Havana. Great to see all the canons lining the walls.

When I went , I went with a local who didn't pay anything. We took a ferry which is about 5$ . From what friends have paid prior was 5 CUC for entry.
