This is a small square about 3 blocks from Plaza Vieja, and by the water. Although I'm rating it average, that's in comparison to other squares in Old Havana. Really there's a lot of good architecture to see there, and if this square was home in my city I'd rate it as excellent. You should know where this square is,... More

Striking to find that Fra Junipero Serra was also here, perhaps before or after he went to convert the whole of California and build all the Missions. He is depicted rather graphically with a barely dressed page ... likely the statue was crafted before certain scandals erupted in the Catholic church. We arrived to Cuba about 1:00 and were rushed all over the place. This was the first chance to really soak in the sights of Cuba when not stuck in a car or at a lecture. Beautiful and picturesque, specially late at night. There is a Palador very close to there. If you get a chance to eat there, DO... More

Cosy square with some nice places to have lunch or drinks. Sitting outside in the bright sun at noon may be a challenge.Umbrellas are scarce. Sit inside. But for drinks late afternoon and evening super. Nice music.

Something to do while in Havana, there is a bar on the square which is not expensive, we sat here watching the people going by.

Fabulous architecture with excellent photo opportunities. A honey pot for tourists - you will be approached by people asking for money, some can be very persistent.

One of the plazas that the government has put money into. Beautiful. Take a photo with the Caballero de Paris. Step inside the beautiful Hotel Palacio del Marques de San Felipe
