Lovely place to spend an afternoon, lots of locals meet here so always a place full of atmosphere, and friendly faces. We took a trip in a horse drawn carriage here - guide called Beatriz (Betty!)which was amazing!!

Our car tour stopped here and we took pictures outside. Our guide said lots of war stuff inside. We stayed outside and took picture by tank.

The square itself is full of trees with a statue of Carlos Manuel de Cespedes in the centre. Lovely old buildings including the Hotel Santa Isobel, surround the square.All very peaceful.

Walked into this after strolling around the streets of Havana... very clean and well kept as opposed to the surrounding neighborhoods. A great observation in culture and history

So here's a head's up. The government has moved the vendors and merchants out of Plaza de Armas. Whereas the vendors were at the Plaza three days a week, they are now daily in a very small enclosed plaza at the end of Obispo Street....More

many people visit here. locals tend to hang out here and there were some local small bands playing music typical of the island
