Wear your walking shoes, be prepared to exit a time machine, and step back in history. This is why you/I came to Cuba in the first place – right? – to see the colonial Cuba in its pristine state prior to it becoming ‘Americanized’ as...More

Great contrasts between beautiful buildings and crumbling ruins. Very laid back. Locals very friendly.

I wish our governments could get along...this city / country is so beautiful and could benefit greatly from increased tourism from the United States...the people love us and are some of the friendliest people we've ever met.

This reminded me of the plazas in Venice and was so beautiful with lovely restaurants in old buildings. Not the cheapest eats but loads of atmosphere and great music.

maps.me is essential - pin spots before you arrive. Alamesa is a great app if you are looking for restaurants and bars.

Havana is such a safe place to go and walk about. Night and day. Just don't get into any badly kept taxis. All local registered taxis are in great condition. The illegal ones will rip you off. Go down Ospina to cafe de Paris... More
