Old Havana has been well preserved as best as it can. Buildings are falling apart and people live in some pretty bad conditions compared to Europe and US but the streets are alive and the people are friendly and love seeing tourists. Shop on the...More

Amazing to see the architecture and historical sites. Sad that so much is in disrepair and the citizens so poor. It is truly a throwback to an earlier time. Prices are good for food. The people were very kind and welcoming.

Old Habana is quite interesting. Their history, the old cars and the people make it quite enjoyable! Take a ride in a carriage with a good guide and learn about Cuban people! Make sure you visit the museums and take a walking tour! Need at...More

Great walking tours of Old Havana. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars, souveniers. Watch pricing as they vary - always ask twice. I have seen people charged different prices for same thing especially drinks. Lots of history and architecture. I would recommend staying here for two...More

Oh lots more than just t-shirts and hats. There is lots of art work for sale in Havana. There are statues, fans (hand held accordion like fans) clothing for adults and children, berets, bracelets. There is a store that sells... More

Two of our favorite beaches that the local Cuban people hang out at are Santa Maria and Tarada which are 17 minutes away from Old Havana. Tarada requires a 1$ CUC per person, Santa Maria is free.
