La Habana Vieja is the city-center and one of the 15 municipalities forming Havana. It has the second highest population density in the city and contains the core of the original city of Havana. The positions of the original Havana city walls are the modern boundaries of Old Havana. Old Havana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are so... More

Had a wonderful day with my family in Old Havana. We loved the Cuban culture and explored for a good half day with our great tour guides. We booked an old car with our hotel and spent the entire day in Havana. Highly recommended if you are travelling to Cuba. I can not wait to return.

THE place you want to go when in Cuba. Great food, bars, museums. Many "classic" locales, like Bodeguita del Medio and El Floridita.

Amazing chance to see traditional Cuban culture mixed with some more modern things. You just have to do it.

Fantastic area, best explored on foot. Lots to see, crumbling grandeur personified in this area of Havana. Recommended.

Old Havana is a lot like Templebar in Dublin and Old Town in Edinburgh - walking streets full of restaurants and bars flowing with music and dance. Wear good walking shoes as the streets are cobblestone (leave flip flops for the beach).

Walking through the Plazas was very interesting. Our guide was only so-so and I imagine with a good local guide it would be a better experience. The Cuban people are warm and welcoming and there is so much to see. Grab a gelato stuffed into half a coconut, delicious, but share it, it's huge.
