I was amazed by the Old Havana. So many nice impressive buildings. Though as soon as you leave the city center you can see what more than 50 years of not being able to renovate buildings can do.

I learned a lot about how the Cuban population suffered with the US sanction. Much better appreciation for the history of Cuba. However, Cuban restaurant food is not good by our standard.

You have to use at least one full day in old Havana. Walk around and enjoy the churches, museums, bars and the music.

You need to be careful as the health reg’s are not like western cities. Restaurants are ok but even bottled water from street vendors can be fake

There is a park called ”Parque” next to the building. Also the Partagas factory is beside the big building. I dont know any Plaza near? Good luck and I hope anyone else can help you. /Mats Samaras
