Lac Bay is usually peaceful, with occasional swimmers and not many divers when we have been there. It's quite a trek from the sandy area where you can park, then walk through ankle-to-midcalf-deep water with your gear on - we found water too shallow to...More

One of the Greatest open air beach places I've been to! Open air, sand floor, great views of Lac bay and windsurfing. Food is good, cold beer :)

I'd recommend Lac Bay for families with small children due to the shallow waters and beach availability. There really isn't much in terms of beaches in Bonaire, and definitely not a destination I'd go for anything other than diving, but if you are the unfortunate...More

A trip to Bonaire isn't complete without a visit to Lac Bay. A great place to while away an afternoon. Try windsurfing or just watch, lay in the sun, have a great lunch--just very relaxing. For drinks and a great lunch try the Hangout Bar...More

Lac Bay is the most relaxed beach to enjoy the sun, sand and stunning turqoise sea. Two nice beach restaurants here; Jibe City and The Beach Hut. Both offering good sanwiches, salades and regular beach food ( plates) for an ok price. Often life music....More

It was amazing to see all those Conch Shells at Lac Bay. It was very peaceful at this beach and there was actually a very long sandy beach (a rarity in Bonaire) since most beaches are very rocky in Bonaire. It is a beautiful day...More

During our recent visit to Bonaire, we headed to Lac Bay for some swimming and time on the beach. We were thrilled to find that we had the entire area to ourselves for the majority of our visit. The water was clear and the sand...More

Bonaire doesn't have a lot of sandy beaches as most coastline is coral but the large shallow (3-foot deep) Lac Bay has it. There's lounge chairs to rent and wind-surfing at one side with snorkeling to had near the reef after a 200m wade through...More

The beach by the airport has really good snorkelling. It is easy to enter the water because it is a sand beach. There is also a food truck right there in the car park where they have great food.
