The fort is directly across from the cruise ship docks. There isn't a formal tour but it's worth walking around and reading the plaques. The grounds are well maintained and the color of the buildings make it stand out.

Recommended as one of the few things we could do from our cruise ship docked off Kralendijk. While I have to admire the Bonairians for not catering to tourists in keeping attractions like this open on Sundays or holidays just because cruise ships are in port, you'd think they'd be proud enough of their history and culture to want to... You'll have to check the Internet to find out anything about the fort. The gate was open, so I entered and walked around to see what I could find out about it. Saw the cannons and the view..

From a docked ship, the walk to this site is about a minute, roughly straight in front of you. The fort is tiny. Not much to it I'm afraid.

From the cruise ship it looked like a kids park. Up close, it's a small fort. Quiet inside. Not much to see. Views aren't the best with the freight ships loading and unloading.

We were all excited to go visit "the fort" but there's really nothing to see inside - just the walls - though we did see some pretty parakeets in the tree!

While you are in town, go by and see the fort and the light house. I love history so I just couldn't pass this.

This fort stands proud at the port where all cruise ships dock. It is Just another one of the well kept building in the capital and let's you know you are at the main port of Bonaire. Not not more about it really.

We walked by on our way back to our cruise ship. Very close to the dock. Easy walking; less than two blocks.

it's a small site in the middle of town. a couple of plaques, couple of canons and a bit of a higher viewpoint from which to take photos.
