We visited the race track on Boxing Day and were intending to go to the Grandstand however, we parked at the far end of the course and realised that you really don't need to pay to go in the grandstand. Just park up and there are betting areas all around the track. This is what the locals do. It is... More

We arrived about 12 which is an hour before it started. Plenty of seats available and at the beginning it was easy to get drinks (beers were one of the cheapest places on the island). Great fish burgers too. When it got busier it did take longer to get drinks although you can tip the waitresses if you want them... More

The Garrison is also a race track. Lots of cannons to see and historical buildings as well as plenty of other history and a museum.

We went to watch the Boxing Day racing in the Grandstand. Tickets were $Barbados30 each. I gather they're cheaper when it's not a bank holiday. We even had the winning horse in a couple of races. Great atmosphere amongst the race-goers. Use the bar under the stand if you need a drink. My son queued for 30 minutes at the... More

This is a really good day out - thoroughly recommend for anyone. The only slight negative if there is one is that there seemed to be only one small bar so prepare to queue for drinks! There are street vendors just outside the gates so you can nip outside for food and drinks there to give you more choice.

I've been to racecourses all over the world, so I thought I would try here. Easy to get to, next to H7, get a ZR from Bridgetown or airport direction. Only about 6 furlongs round so you get a good view of the racing. The beer and food is no more expensive than bars outside, different to the UK. Betting... More

We happened to get lucky and be in town for a race day. We had a rental car and parked nearby. Walked over and walked into the infield between races- no charge. We have great views of the race. Afterward we headed over to the stables to get a closer look at the horses. All in All and fun day... More

Known for some of the most amazing horse racing events in the Caribbean this location is now home to Barbados Independence Monument celebrating 50 years of Independence. This is definitely a must see attraction when visiting the island.

I have never really been to a horse racing venue before, but what i liked about this one is a) you don't really need to buy the ticket to see the event - you can stand right there by the waist-high fence that separates you from the horsed; b) you are so close to the horses racing so you can...
