A fort designed to protect the island and nearby shipping lanes at a time when boats ruled the sea and earth. These ruins have been tidied up a bit to allow visitors a view of the past. Bermuda, being an island nation, depended on boats...More

If you have a little extra time, take a stroll up to the fort. Do check if they are open by the Tourist Centre located at Dangelini's Cafe, Albuoy Point, by the ferry terminal.

This is a fort built in the 19th century. It's small but very interesting to explore. Don't forget to go down to the moat level where there is a small jungle.

We thought the upper level was well maintained and worth visiting, but some of the lower levels were very isolated and not supervised. I would not visit alone just to be safe.
