If you are going to Bermuda this trip is a must do. Captain Mike and his brother are excellent tour guides. Once on board one understands and feels that this is not just a business but a hobby of theirs as well. Their enjoyment at making sure the guests have the best of times is evident. Without doubt the best day of our trip. The commentary by Captain Mike and his brother was really interesting. The sea life and coral fascinating. Thank you both for a stunning afternoon worth every penny and NOT expensive far from it. (I was the chap with the damaged knee)

First time ever in beautiful Bermuda and with so many different charters and tours to select from, we turned to a local friend for recommendations. He suggested this glass bottom tour and snorkel and we were so happy he did! We took off from Hamilton right on time and with only 20 people on board due to Covid restrictions. Speaking of Covid, the boat was clean, had hand sanitizer available as soon as you got on, the whole crew wore their masks, except the Captain while he was talking and giving us interesting facts and information about the island. You were encouraged to wear your mask if you felt the need or not. What made this trip fascinating was when you get to the sunken ship and you see the glass bottom and the crew let’s you know exactly what you’re looking at from the brain corals two different aspects of the reef. They dropped us off in a perfect area to snorkel, paddle board ( provided), Or just grab a drink and a noodle and relax in the beautiful water.

What a great excursion! Captain Mike shared so much about the island and its history and found the perfect spot to snorkel. Couldn’t have been nicer and the glass bottom portion of the cruise was a highlight of our trip! They even dropped off us mid-cruise at a location closer to our hotel. We had a wonderful time and wouldn’t miss it if we came back to Bermuda. His crew was fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

While there are probably other Glass Bottom Boat and Snorkel tours what made this tour fantastic was Captain Mike and his crew (all family members by the way). Cpt Mike narrated a great tour of the bays and waterways on the way out to the reef and sunken ship. We enjoyed watching the fish thru the glass bottom and then we were off to snorkel in the warm, clear waters. Great time! We had the option to SUP during the snorkel portion of the trip which was great as well. The Dark and Stormy on the way back to port was a perfect way to end the trip. I would take this tour again and highly recommend it. Thanks Captain Mike and crew.

Wanting to get out on the beautiful blue waters of Bermuda I looked up a tour boat I had seen at Hamilton Ferry Dock. Reading good reviews here about the Bermuda Reef Explorer, I tried their website And booked and paid for the afternoon glass bottom boat & snorkeling tour. Price was $65 USD for the tour and snorkeling stop, which included use of their snorkel mask I was greeted by the crew and they confirmed my booking in their ships manifest. Capt Mike and his brother were quite friendly, chatting as we awaited all passengers to board. The ship was very clean with seating topside and inside. The bar was not open until we left dock, and headed west out of Hamilton. As several reviews mentioned, Capt Mike kept up a running narrative on the history and interesting items all about Bermuda. (Its easier to hear him if you sit on the upper deck) -Being a bit hard of hearing I missed a lot of his talk, So take note if you-like me-Are a bit deaf! Our ride out to the western areas was quite smooth. Going under a road bridge we emerged to the mostly open sea, Mike heading to a good fish viewing spot. We first drifted over loads of Coral reef, with Mike’s brother giving great info on the living reef as the glass viewing floor passed over it. Then we drifted a few times over the wreck of the VIXEN- a rusty hulk mostly submerged within sight of coast. OHH LA LA at the FISH ! They were waiting for treats - really showed up in numbers! Snappers, Groupers, yellowtail Jacks (my guess) and jack crevalle- when we stopped drift the crew brought out food to toss at the crowd of fish - what a show! Next Mike anchored near a small islet beach and all who wished went into the lovely warm waters- it was GREAT! I used the provided snorkel mask - no flippers- and drifted about looking at coral (no Touch!) and little fishies. We spent a couple hours there with passengers enjoying the provided floatie noodles and paddle boards and snorkeling masks. Time up, we all reboarded for the ride bk to Hamilton. I changed out of wet items in one of the well cleaned & supplied 2 unisex heads(restrooms). I rode topside on way back and was quite comfortable. I highly recommend Capt Mike and his well kept ship for a reef & Snorkeling tour!
