More expensive than the USA but I guess that's expected for an island. Couple of department stores and malls. We felt the smaller shops were less well stocked than when we were here two years ago. Lots to see and do and plenty of public transport to explore the rest of the area / island.

Had the usual carribean shops but what I loved is the Gosling Store. Had all the Gosling rum at super cheap prices since you're buying straight from the source. They even send it back to the ship for you. Actually, they are required to send it back to the ship so you can't consume it on the island. Apparently the... More

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Bermuda and we spent a good amount of time on Front Street. There are many good restaurants along the strip as well as many shops. Not too mention the beautiful view. Ferrys, taxis and buses are all easily available from front Street. The area is clean and nicely laid out for... More

Wear your walking shoes, this is an island with a lot of hills. well worth the hike. make your way to the incomplete fort for some spectacular views of the harbor.

While in Bermuda, we took some time to walk around Hamilton and Front Street. Hamilton has some nice parks, the beautiful Anglican Cathedral, Ft Hamilton and some nice stores on Front St. Front St. is not like your typical Caribbean "city" main street as it isn't filled with jewelry stores every 10 feet or people hawking 3 for $10.00 T-Shirts..... Hamilton has seen the development of an attractive waterfront over the past 75 years from a commercial busy and congested area. This has largely come about with the advent of containerisation so the docks are no longer busy with breakbulk cargoes. Cement no longer arrives in bags and so on. Most sheds have been removed.

This is where a lot of events happen and is also a great place for shopping and dining. Make sure to take your time and remember that almost everything is closed on Sunday's.

This is the place to go when in Bermuda. Front Street is very nice, but don't overlook the street further inland from there.
