Often overlooked by most tourists, but was once the home of the governor whose son later settled in Williamsburg, VA. So there are some excellent connections between the two locations. very knowledgeable volunteer staff. Well worth the $5.00 fee to enter.

Stopped by here our last 40 minutes of our trip. Very nice woman gave us a tour. Wish we had more time to visit and chat. Small place, but interesting to see.

Tour a 1730's residence of a Bermudian merchant......fantastic displays. The museum has gathered and displayed an amazing number of old and unique examples of life that was transported from England to these shores centuries ago. There is a small donation asked for the tour but the volunteer hosts can give you as little or as much information as you can... More

Was some very interesting items and pictures around the history of Bermuda. Lady that was looking after the place was very friendly and had a ton of knowledge that really made this place worth visiting

Since St George was the old capital of Bermuda and the first town settled, many of the building date from the 16 and 1700's. The women who guided us through the home was very knowledgeable of both the house with its white washed roof used for catching rain water and to the entire history of that area. She is a... More

I really didn't know too much about the history of Bermuda and it's people. There was a 20 minute film which gave a wealth of information. Quite interesting museum that you can walk around in this old house. The cost was $5 and it was well worth it. Really pleasant people working there that will answer any questions.

This museum has limited hours, so please check to see when it's open. It's manned by volunteers, so you may have to adjust your schedule to see it. It has lots of pictures of the town, and is definately worth your time to find out about the history of this town.

A fascinating museum if you are interested in social history. Very knowledgeable staff who love to share their knowledge. It's like stepping into someone's home. Lots of interesting artifacts and there's even a Gutenbery style printing press in the basement. This was how news spread (very slowly) back in the day.
