Beach has interesting natural beauty. It is shallow with some interesting sea life; however, it is littered with trash and broken glass. You cannot safely walk on this beach in bare feet. We snorkeled in the waters and found many discarded bottles (broken and unbroken). You can do better. We went here because it was close to the dockyards where our ship was berthed. There probably is a better close beach; we just didn't find it this time.

Have visited Long Bay in previous years but this year So many turtles to swim with. Lovely Bay uncrowded, nice, calm and warm waters in August. So enjoyed ourselves with a Go Pro for hours. A must if you love turtles. Also a new small inflatable water park is available across from the beach (don't know the cost).

Quiet little beach if you want to stay away from everyone getting bussed to Horseshoe bay. No amenites, just a picnic table and a portable toilet. The beach is nice and the water crystal clear. You can swim in the calm sea and encounter numerous sea turtles.
Be careful of the broken glass.
Nice little stand selling ice cones and water nearby.

My Husband and I were renting an apartment in Somerset Village, so this was the closest public beach for us, just a 10 minute stroll through a quiet residential area. We came for 3 afternoons in a row, and we were the only people in the water--granted, it was early April and the water temperature was 68 degrees, but we grew up swimming in even colder waters, so this was fine! The water was a lovely blue, the waves were almost non-existent, and we even saw several sea turtles poke their heads up from about 10-15 feet away. Picnic tables and port-a-potties are in the pretty park in front of the beach. But one warning: there is lots of broken glass both in the water and on the sand, but we wore water shoes and avoided all injury.

If you don't want hundreds of tourist around, rent a scooter and get to this beach. My husband and I spend several hours alone on this beach - paradise. Eventually a few couples and a local family arrived but the beach was so peaceful and beautiful. The water was also so calm... And by the way we swam with turtles!!!

This is a very small beach located near a children's park and a playground. It's not secluded but instead more like abandoned. The sand is littered with glass and shattered pieces of garbage. The water is very shallow and comes up to mid calf but anything beyond that was swallowed by up seaweed (at least on the day we were there) - we weren't able to swim. The locals use this beach to gather at night after work and us, the tourists, are an unwelcome intrusion. There is absolutely nothing in the vicinity in terms of bars, restaurants, shops, or quaint old town streets. I would skip this one and use the bus pass to get to Horseshoe Bay and the ones near it.

All the beaches in Bermuda are beautiful. This one has the advantage of having a little nature reserve nearby but the disadvantage that the boat tours seem to stop here so it's rather noisy.

We loved this beach. The water is very clear, there are lots of turtles, and tons of cool fish by the rocks! We also saw a barracuda & an eel.

We were really disappointed with the amount of glass on the beach and in the shallow water. Would have been a nice spot for relaxing otherwise. Not great for snorkeling - all sand and seaweed.

I'm trying to find the Bermuda beaches that are: easy to get to and have calm water that's easy to get in and out of.
