    Picture perfect beach
We visited as two couples snd were impressed with the whole setup. This is the busiest beach we have visited, yet we were the only apparent tourists. Lots of Antiguan families were enjoying the calm waters and special views. There is good snorkelling to the right of the beach, and areas are cordoned off fir safe swimming. Sun beds are available, $10 US, but no umbrellas.

Starting Point for Exceptional Middle Ground Hiking Trail. Spectacular Views
Picturesque beach overlooking beautiful Falmouth Harbour. Soft sand and calm, clear water. The beach had very few people on a weekday morning when I visited. From here, I hiked the exceptional Middle Ground Trail from the beach to Fort Berkeley at English Harbour. 2.5 mile out and back hike offering spectacular views of the southern coast of Antigua including of Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour and Freeman's Bay. The hike can be moderately challenging including a brief rock scramble about halfway through. Nothing too difficult but it did require some physical ability.

    Beautiful Spot
We love Pigeon Point Beach. Beautiful spot with sailboats in the water, various shady areas to get out of the sun, and the beach is flanked by 2 restaurants - one fancy and the other relaxed. A nice mix of locals and visitors. Gorgeous setting, but no bathroom facilities.

Take 2 towels - one to sit on; one to dry off. Good beach that isn't crowded
After our short visit to Nelson's Dockyard, our ship excursion included a one hour visit for a swim in Pigeon Point Beach on a Saturday afternoon. The beach had a mix of locals and other cruise passengers who most likely had bought an excursion to Nelson's Dockyard and the beach like us. It's not a beach used by cruisers due to the distance from the port so the beach area isn't crowded. There is a nice, clean washroom across from the parking lot. This facility has sinks and toilets, but no showers. A lady takes your entrance money to use the facilities. We had a cruise ship voucher so paying for this use was not an issue. There is shade from small trees at the beach, but no loungers/chairs for rent from the small restaurant at the beach near the parking lot. The white sand is soft and extends into the water. It is a clean beach with no sea weed in the water. There is minimal surf as the water gently laps onto the beach. The drop off from shore into the water is gradual - just right for swimmers who like to touch the bottom while paddling around, but also deep enough further on for swimmers who dislike shallower water. There also is a good stretch of sand to walk along as the tide laps gently at the shoreline. The beach is in the vicinity of a harbour so beachgoers can occasionally see ships passing by the shore. We spent about 45 minutes in the water with my hubby and me taking turns being in the water while one of us sat on the towel beside our belongings. It was enough time to feel refreshed and to have good memories of this beach should we buy another excursion to Nelson's Dockyard. Take 2 towels along pp - one to sit on and one to dry off.

A beautiful beach. We think it is one of the best in Antigua!!! The views are superb and it’s never that busy. A real island getaway spot.

Within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Narrow strip of sand, turquoise water, lots of boats and people. Didn't seem special. Some shady trees, though. Not wowed but glad we walked down here.

It was a day visit from a cruise ship. Beach was lovely and water nice and warm for swimming and bouncing around. The change rooms were only open on request by our tour leader and had no showers for rinsing off sand. Need a towel to sit on.

Lovely beach with lots of trees for shade. Overlooking the sea with lots of boats in the distance. Like the vibe and scene especially at the beach restaurant.
