A must see - especially the Museum. The old buildings - most in use - alone are worth the trip. The added bonus the Dockyard Bakery!

Spent a very pleasant morning with a guided visit, then time just to stroll around. The museum was interesting and in a lovely building. Well worth a visit.

8 US dollars to enter....has a range of shops and and bar/restaurant but the main reason to visit is the history and the buildings ..great little trip if you are really into your history you could spend a good couple of hours visiting the museum buildings

This combines a working marina with a destination on the tourist trail. There is a history to the place going back to, surprisingly, Nelson's day. The facilities are excellent with a selection of shops, restaurants and bars, all good standard. The boats in the harbour gave a clue to the class of people who frequent here and clearly it is... We visited as part of an island tour and unfortunately did not have enough time to fully explore the whole site. What we did see was a fascinating insight into the time when Nelson was stationed in Antigua. Whilst my wife was occupied taking many excellent photos, I took the time to have a look round the museum. I would... More

A beautiful setting and an interesting museum. We went late afternoon (approx 4pm) and spent 45 minutes here as part of a private tour of the island; with the benefit of hindsight we would have allowed 1.5 hours. It was very quiet indeed so we enjoyed the museum and admiring the boats from around the world in the harbour. There's... More

We wish we had more time to spend at Nelson's Dockyard. There were some nice shops and places to eat. It was clean and had a great deal of history. We visited this area as part of a tour. Much of the island has lovely views, but the people have so little. Many of the homes and businesses are run... More

Very much mixed feelings over this one. Let me explain: This was undoubtedly one of the stand out attractions on Antigua, so much history ( If you are interested in British Naval history) and recently a UNESCO World Heritage site no less! I was expecting an opportunity to find out more about the history of the place and to get... More

This place is well worth visiting because of its diversity. Make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to explore and soak up the atmosphere and food, it's fab.

If you're into British Maritime History, this is the place to go. Plenty to see and study (if you have time). Easy flat walking.
