The Dow hill interpretation centre is presently a cultural centre. This was the official residence, in the eighteenth century, of the British naval general commanding officer.

Nice place for breathtaking view and introduction to the history of the island nation. A short audio visual presentation with stage models and representation inside the auditorium was very informative. The staff were accommodating and gave us a tour of the awesome view. Must see...More

This centre gives a very informative presentation of the history of Antigua from its beginnings. I highly recommend. This is part of the $8 each USD admission price at Nelson's Dockyard National Park.

If you read everything at the museum at the dockyard you don't need to sit through the presentation--- creative and cheesy. The ruins give perspective on how big it was

We found this place on our way to Shirley's Heights. Nicely done presentation of the islands history, suitable for all ages. The staff was very helpful, and the view from up there is quite nice. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Lots of history here. This is down from the fort but still has excellent views of the coast. Cafe and refreshments inside. Well preserved historical site.
