I have been to Antigua 10 times and I always go to Shirley Heights as the view is simply spectacular. You must go in the daytime and look at the view. I know a lot of people go for the sunset and the fish and chips on Sundays, but any trip to Shirley Heights is a bonus.

We had the pleasure of having lunch, sitting at a picnic table on Shirley Heights. The view is spectacular. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We could see the steam above the volcano on Monserrat. The bananaquit birds were everywhere, hoping for a sugar fix. It was one of my two favorite things on Antigua. I highly recommend... More

Went here in the Sunday when they have a party with a steel band and then a reggae band afterwards. There is a bar, large barbecue area and vendors with little stalls selling local trinkets. The views are well worth going for. A brilliant atmosphere.

This location has a restaurant so if you have time, you might want to enjoy some lunch or a snack while taking in the views. You are at one of the highest points on the island so the views are great. If you just stop to take in the views, this could be a short stop.

This was fun! There is an admission charge on a Sunday but worth every penny, we arrived about 5pm which was a good time to secure a vantage point for the sunset over English Harbour. It also gave us plenty of time to listen to the steel band - 17 in the band in total, pretty awesome. This was followed... More

I read past Trip advisor comments on this and decided it was worth a trip out- mainly as others have said - It is a lively and very busy venue and around the Steel band it's very crowded. Trying to find a spot to get a view of the setting sun or band is a challenge!! That said there is... More

amazing views and great experience, well worth a visit if in Antigua. very crowded so get there early to get a good place to watch the sunset, very long que for drinks but when you try the rum punch it was worth it. Flat shoes are essential as the paving is very uneven especially with the rum punch

This is the one of the most amazing views you will see! The food in the restaurant was fabulous and the staff were very friendly. We loved it and would be happy to go back.
