    Big beach with soft sand.
Lovely soft sand here but sandals has dominanted the area spoiling it. If you share a taxi mini bus from St John's port with other couples it's $5 each .each way so acceptable if there's 6 of you. Please be aware that there are jelly fish in the area as my wife was stung so was a crew member from P.O. There's a few places to eat and get a drink at the usual Antiguan beach prices.

    Dickenson Bay
We met Roderick and Charles who helped eight of us with chairs and umbrellas. Juiceman provided us with all the drinks we wanted and Pamela gave a wonderful massage on the beach. We had an amazing day everyone was very pleasant and helpful would highly recommend them all.

    Great visit to Dickenson Bay
Great option for a day trip. We went to Dickenson Bay from the Port. We took a taxi. Look for the yellow shirts they are the drivers. It cost$5 a person and About 15 minutes. Rough drive there lots of bumps in the road. On the way back the taxi driver was able to find roads that were not full of port holes. Cost $7. A person on the way back to Port. We went to Anna's on the beach. Great location. Easy walk from the drop off. Chairs were purchased from Louis at $30 and the included the umbrella and wifi. Chairs were not packed in and had comfortable blue cushions on them. We were in front of Anna's restaurant. We had a nice and very slow lunch. About$90 for four light meals (salads, tacos, fries and and four waters,) Bathrooms are ok. Look for a stall with natural light as when you shut the door there are no lights in the bathroom. Definitely would recommend this beach. Beautiful calm water. Sand is not deep.

Great beach, comfortable not to many vendors.
Great beach. We really enjoyed our visit to Dickenson Bay From the port our cost about$5 per person to get there. From the Bay back to the port our was$7 a person. Hilary was our taxi driver. She was great. Beach is long and beautiful. We got two chairs with comfortable cushions, umbrella and wifi for_$30. Louis meet us in front of Anna's restaurant and helped us with our chairs. The walkway from the parking lot is in picture attached. I recommend this spot. Anna's on the beach. Comfortable space between loungers close to the beach. Restaurant is pricey and lunch cost about$90 for four of us. The bathrooms are fine and you need to pick a bathroom that has natural coming in from the roof. Otherwise when you shut the door there is no light. We will go back. Lovely day. The drive to the port was incredibly bumpy. The way back Hilary found roads that were paved. Lots of activities on the beach if you want to be busy.

Just one of Antigua’s fabulous beach, but with the added advantage of a choice of several restaurants and being just a short drive from St John’s.

Reluctant to rate any Caribbean beach as "average" but compared to the many other beaches we visited on Antigua, this was the least enjoyable. The Sandals Resort has gobbled up most of the beach leaving only areas on each end of the beach with loungers and umbrellas available for rent. The sand is still soft and the water warm and clear, but the beach was quite busy, and I suspect a number of cruise passengers are brought here as it is one of the closest nice beaches to the port. There are a number of beach bars and souvenir stands to choose from. Several vendors stopped by to sell their goods. There is a party boat/catamaran that pulled up right onto the beach to load and unload. This can be a fun place to hang out, but it lacks a peaceful vibe. If you are a guest at Sandals, I suspect the experience would be much better as there are many loungers and umbrellas to choose from since it seems to occupy 70% of the beach. It is also quieter at the far end near the Siboney Beach Resort and the Buccaneer Beach Club(where we stayed) although the beach space provided to these resorts seemed quite limited.

Family and I went to Sandals this year. There are beach sellers as the beaches are public but in our experience they are all very friendly and courteous so won’t keep bothering you if you decline buying anything at the start. A big shout out to Raquel who is particularly lovely and does a fabulous massage for a reasonable price
