One of the most impressive parts of Croatia: a national park for a reason, for sure! One of the deepest canyons in the world, dug by such a lovely little creek... Wow!

We went here for one day. Beautiful park which is very popular for mountain climbing, but also very nice for walking trails. Directions in park can be a bit vague/unclear, so better take a map from the visitors center. If you are early (we were...More

take your camera, good trekking shoes..and enjoy. From entrance to the peak (Vaganski vrh) awesome scenery are exchanging in front of you. Avoid Lipa staza (rolling pebble!!), quench thirst at Marasovac spring, and rest at Struge shelter.

Hiked the gorge with beautiful karst formations and spectacular views. Really not too far from Starigrad but you feel miles away.

Spent an afternoon visiting the park from entrance one. Make sure you wear good grip footwear as boulders can be slippy.

We were a mixed-ability group: 4 adventurous 20-somethings (1 with exercise induced asthma), 1 fit 60-something, and 1 unfit 50-something. Please be aware the timings given on the signage should be multiplied by 3. We were hurrying to get to the cave which wasn't wise...More

There's no lakes in the park. You can dip into the river or, even better, go for a swim in the sea, which is richt by the entrance.
