My family and I stayed at the Mt Irvine Resort. We loved the proximity of the beach to the resort and the amenities provided to guests - change room, bathroom, restaurant and bar and loungers and umbrellas. We had crab and dumplings and shark and bake at the hotel restaurant which were very good. Other food options further down the beach. Beach is not private ( none are in Tobago) but this was never a problem. Very good snorkelling right off the beach. Saw schools of fish and lots of coral. Local vendors on beach for souvenirs, but not pushy. Also other vendors came by with local sweets and goodies! My wife and I bought some art from local artist Dillon Richards right on the beach.

Great beach when it is calm. Not a very large beach and it is technically part of the Mt Irvine Hotel. There are beach chairs and umbrellas available from the hotel staff there as well as food and drink, but it will be expensive. Best to bring a cooler.

Rather tacky 'restaurant' supposedly attached to the Mount Irvine Hotel up the hill. General public rather small beach not well kept.

The beach is convenientely located close to the road and has quite good facilities, including many small ”huts” with tables. The beach itself is quite small, surfing is possible to right. Watch out for falling coconuts! Gets very crowded in the afternoon.

this beach is not comparable to Pigeon Point as it lacks the turquoise waters we enjoyed so much. But this beach is visited by many local families, especially on the weekends. It was lovely to meet and have a chat with them.

We enjoyed this location so much, we visited it twice while on St. Lucia. Having your own rental car was perfect for creating our own tours and visits, at our own pace.

Clear water, little current to worry you and usually very calm and comfortable water means you can swim out and enjoy the view of the beach. There is some coral and rock that attracts fish just a few yards offshore, so you can snorkel also. Definitely worth a visit.

It was my first time in tobago and I had a short break so I ask the taxi driver to take me to some quiet place. So his choice was this place and I must agree that it was a perfect one. It's small public, quiet and really beatiful beach were you can fill like you are a local person.

This beach is perfect for a quiet relaxing day. Pablo will great you and help you with chair rental and snorkeling equipment if you're interested. He was very friendly and helpful and his prices for rental were fair. There is a place to get beverages and food. We had two of the lunches, one chicken, one fish and all the food was great. There are restrooms and changing facilities.
The swimming isn't the best (a little rocky) but it was still a fun place to be. It's a quiet little bay and separate from the area know as the Mr. Irvine Hotel Beach.

Hello. Are you able to tell me how the beach at Mt Irvine compares to Store Beach...trying to decide whether to stay at Mt Irvine hotel or Karawak near Store Beach.
Written 1 August 2018
It depends on your needs. It is a better place to swim. Store Bay is crowded with Tour Boats as well. Both places are close. It's a matter of choice. Tobago is a small island and beaches are within reach. Enjoy.. Whichever you choose. Rent a vehicle and the beaches will be closer to you.
