We went out 40 km outside Ching Mai to the Hot Springs and had a really relaxing afternoon!! First a good soak in the big hot mineral pool. Then an hour of the best Thai massage ever followed by an hour's lovely foot massage. We then bought some raw eggs which we boiled in the hot spring and ate together... More

Its a bout an hour drive out of Chiang Mai on highway past San Kamphaeng The hot spring park is lovely especially on a week day morning. I am guessing it gets busy on the weekends or holidays.... These hot springs are well worth a visit, we stayed for six hours, the children spent five hours in the children's pool supplied by the sring water, we strolled around the gardens ate first class food in the restaurant while the children snacked at the food stalls. Ther were many locals there picnicking and relaxing and quite a number of... More

We picked a picture perfect sunny day to ride out to the San Kamphaeng Hot Springs today. Once again, my farang face had to pay 60 baht entry more than my Thai partner. Now, I don't really have a big issue with having to pay more than the locals every time we visit a tourist attraction. What really pisses me... More

I can't say it was amazing, or wonderful, but I wasn't expecting hot springs in Northern Thailand, so went to have a look while waiting for my flight (Its only 40 mins away) A hot swimming pool if you want it, or paddle your feet and boil some eggs in the hot water. The gardens are great too, but you... More

Nice park to stop in and see the active hot springs. It is set-up with small water canals flowing away from the geysers so you can find the right temperature for you to sit down and soak your feet in the water. Lots of the places to sit and soak your feet are in the shade, so it is quite... More

We booked a 1/2 day trip to the Hot Springs with Amporn Tours as we had a great experience with them on another tour. This time our driver spoke very little English and took us to the wrong hot springs. He didn't want to take us to San Kamphaeng and kept saying it was dirty. When we got there it... More

Sankampaeng Hot Spring is located 40 km. from Chiang Mai town and the journey is picturesque with scenic views of the mountains, through foot hills, paddy fields and plam nut oil tree plantations. It is emitting water with high sulphur content and said to cure ailments and rejuvenate the body. The water seems to be gushing out from a deep... More
