This bronze statue was created by Greek sculptor based on a design by local painter, was cast in Germany in 1922 and was erected and dedicated in Mytilene in 1930. It has a very strong relation with island's history. You can walk just 5 minutes...More

The statue of liberty has a reasonable view but nothing special, worth a stop whilst passing but d'ont go out of your way

Located just down the castle after the harbor, the statue is old (1930). Just below there is a little beach.

Nice to see, but not a must see. There was a littble bit of trash nearby the statue. But the view from here it's perfect

A monument to freedom shoeing a woman with a torch in her hand. You can see it just above the main harbor of the city.

While visiting Mytilene Castle,we have once more stopped at this modern monument and watched the people taking the photos with it.İf you are heading to the Castle in any way,you are going to see this one,too.Not very important.

Statue of Liberty,this monument is just in the front part of the Mytiline Castle,which is kept and maintained very well in good condition.Strongly recommended to pay a visit to this monument.
