Started at 5.30 from the Chabot hut, was on the summit at 10, and at the hut again by 13. We wanted to do the North Face but it was too Icy, so just did the normal route. Great views!

We were here in June walking. Most of trails were very quiet, which meant we saw Ibex, Chamois and Marmots. There was still a lot of snow on the paths which made the walks more sporting. The wild flowers were amazing!

The water seems to be flowing out of every crevice in the mountains of the Gran Paradiso, with more-and-more spectacular water falls at every turn. Plenty of wildlife if you're willing to walk into the back country. Only one hitch - they restrict dogs.

A nice climb up to 4000m. The summit ridge can be a little hairy when icy but all in all a good climb.
