This place looks like an abandoned city with all the buildings in a dilapidated state. Most of the restaurants and shops are shut down and someone told that due to environmental clearance the town project is abandoned by the developers. One has to pay an entry fee of Rs.500/- besides cost of travelling..Visited April 2022Written 27 April 2022

Walkway is good in evening, you can have a walk in evening with cool breezes, but cafes and hotels are almost closed, colorful buildings are faded now, I didn't find it attractive anymore. I must say, Lavasa is been made so beautiful, but they have failed to maintain it. So think twice if you are planning for lavasa.Visited March 2021Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 March 2021

I have visited this place during 2015-17 many times, It was one of my favourite places and crowded very much.
But now on June 22 this place is really like Khandar nothing else. And now charging 500, earlier there was no charge.
Now I would recommend not to waste time and money for this place. Instead of this better to visit Singhad fort, there at least you will find a crowd, food stall, etc.

Don't go on the images posted online, as it is not what it was years ago.. it's just a lonely place. Not maintained, no good food, entry fee Rs. 500/-. Everything there seems to be burnt out there. Just another city that has been closed down since years. Its completely deserted area. No fun, No rides, NO PUBLIC - TOURISTS at all. We were all alone in this place.

If you read the descriptions of Lavasa you'll expect Italians Portofino in the middle of India. And also the website promises a lot. But to be honest its a huge disappointment! The houses at the waterfront are in really bad conditions, restaurants on a really low level and on the other side of the lake only ugly buildings. The landscape itself is nice but the Portofino-fake is really poor.

We visited from Bengaluru and were left very disappointed at the state of this place. Read some reviews which mentioned that the place is dying a slow death and how true it turned out to be !! We had actually planned an overnight stay. When we reached, firstly it was difficult to find the apartment that was booked, secondly with great difficulty managed to get hold of the owner and thirdly when he arrived, the first statement was we were early and the rooms were in a terrible state. BTW It was was 10AM when we reached Lavasa.
Coming back to the place, unfinished buildings, less crowd gives you the feeling of a ghost town !! I wouldn’t visit this place again nor would recommend to anyone. We just left the place right away and took a hotel in Lonavala. Kind of replanned our itinerary

Hi VB, you mentioned Lavasa is expensive. Can you please elaborate. Should we carry something with ourselves? We are going there tomorrow for 2 nights and staying at Mercure. Thanks

I am planning to go to Lavasa just for lunch from Pune. is it suggestible option? also, what about the parking option for the restaurants on the pomorade.

Lavasa is a long journey from Pune (over 2 hours), thus not sure that it is worthwhile just for lunch. Parking near restaurants is available at some parking lots.
how is the way to go from pune to lavasa?
is it good to go by bike?

Road is excellent. You would definitely enjoy the ride. Watch out for steep turns. Parking fee has been hiked as it's off-peak season now.

Yes, like Jiten S has written, Lavasa is a very laid back place with not much to do actually. When we went, even adventure and water sports were very limited. It's more like a place to eat, enjoy and entertain yourself.
