Singhagad-Panshet-Lavasa Trip (Guided Full Day Sightseeing Tour)

1 review
Experience the popular gateway near to Pune, explore the astounding scenery of Singhagad Fort, panoramic view of the landscape, clouds drifting over the mountains and enjoy the preachy breeze, Panshet Dam nestled in the lap of Sahyadri mountain ranges and Lavasa a well developed township stylistically based on the Italian town Portofinoon known for it's picturesque beauty on this guided tour to Pune's most perennial favorite gateway.

Enjoy the local food at the top of the fort and listen the heart warming stories of its glorious past, an experience not to be missed if you are in Pune and develop a great perspective of the city, its culture and life of a local.

The city is losing its charm, and so lakeside promenade is! Walkway is good in evening, you can have a walk in evening with cool breezes, but cafes and hotels are almost closed, colorful buildings are faded now, I didn't find it attractive anymore. I must say, Lavasa is been made so beautiful, but they have failed to maintain it. So think twice if you are planning for lavasa.

Lavasa is now a ghost town. Check before getting there. Its even difficult to get a decent meal in Lavasa, as almost all outlets are permanently closed. Promenade is the last remaining place to take a walk. Exercise caution, when passing over culverts/bridges. Also dont get too close to the railings. Lavasa is done for.

If you read the descriptions of Lavasa you'll expect Italians Portofino in the middle of India. And also the website promises a lot. But to be honest its a huge disappointment! The houses at the waterfront are in really bad conditions, restaurants on a really low level and on the other side of the lake only ugly buildings. The landscape itself is nice but the Portofino-fake is really poor.

We visited from Bengaluru and were left very disappointed at the state of this place. Read some reviews which mentioned that the place is dying a slow death and how true it turned out to be !! We had actually planned an overnight stay. When we reached, firstly it was difficult to find the apartment that was booked, secondly with great difficulty managed to get hold of the owner and thirdly when he arrived, the first statement was we were early and the rooms were in a terrible state. BTW It was was 10AM when we reached Lavasa. Coming back to the place, unfinished buildings, less crowd gives you the feeling of a ghost town !! I wouldn’t visit this place again nor would recommend to anyone. We just left the place right away and took a hotel in Lonavala. Kind of replanned our itinerary
