Crowded with worshipers who were clearly inspired to be at this temple - the compact area creates a very atmospheric and spiritual atmosphere. It would have been useful to know details of the various worship locations and practices, but an interesting and enjoyable visit to this ancient building

Had a bad experience visiting this temple; not only was it very crowded, they were fixing a lot of installations when I visited.

This was not our first visit to this temple but definitely this was our most memorable. We went at night. The atmosphere was very different from our last visit which was during the day. I have visited many temples in Asia and I must say that I was really taken by this one. The beautifully-lit details of the structures, the... More

A quick stop at Longshan station and a short walk will get you to the temple. It was crowded with worshippers in the evening we were there. Lots of incense so the smell was quite overwhelming for me. I walked around the temple, paying attention to be respectful as there were worshippers everywhere. Photo taking is allowed. Quite an interesting... More

It was similar to most temples in an around Taipei but worth a visit if you are in the Tamsui region. Although the signage is not great there are enough directions in English to find it if you arrive at the Tamsui Train Station

One of the best place to experience and witness the Taiwanese people and religion. Longsan temple is directly linked by either the MRT or the efficient bus system. It is one of Taiwan's largest and oldest temple, vsited daily by devotees and tourists alike to pray (Buddhism, Taoism, Mazu) and find peace. It is a huge and has many devotees... More

As we know the famous temple and rich Buddhism culture in Taiwan, this is a great temple to grant your wishes. People will come to pray for everything such as career, wealth, health, marriage, study, child...etc. It's easy to reach by taking the MRT. Come to enjoy the local religion experience and the historic atmosphere.

Decent Place to visit and having a guide will improve your experience. But it does not stand out to be any better than other Buddhist Temples. Its a functional Temple and so be respectful of people praying.

Even if you're a bit 'all templed out', this site has some very unusual and unique artefacts and shrines that are well worth seeing. Easily reached from the Tamsui metro stop, this is a very different temple worth visiting.
