While doing the "Must Do" scenic Zion Mt Carmel highway, it is well worth sopping for this short hike. Coming from the east, there are a small number of parking spots right before the tunnel (if you are coming from the west, there is also...More

There are a few parking places just before the tunnel. The trail is uphill and rocky. There are a few places where it is a bit exposed but there is a fence. Fab view at the overlook

I was scared off by the descriptions of some of the hikes since I am afraid of heights. Though there were areas where there was a drop off and there was no railing, as long as I focused on my footing I was able to...More

Short, challenging hike. We took it slow and steady and let younger hikers pass us. The view at the end is all you need....several hikers going the other way said "it's worth it" and they were right!

Trip highlight, trail is rugged, sections are steep/slick, it's all GORGEOUS, walking sticks a plus. As at all national parks, we're glad to carry water, sunblock, snacks & rollup broad-brim hats.

Best to start here. Take the super scenic drive on Route 9 thru the first tunnel. Start hiking and in a few minutes you will have a spectacular view of the Zion Main Canyon.

This short one mile hike leads to a gorgeous view of the canyon in Zion. However, parking is very limited so be sure to hit this spot at a less populous time of the day. The varying amount of incline, terrain, tight squeezes in spots...More

I think you can (but check with nps website) as shuttle's only cover the area north of that turning. Be warned parking at the overlook trail is very limited so get there early.
