Take the shuttle bus to the Weeping Rock stop. The trailhead for Observation Point, leaves from this shuttle stop. The trail to Observation Point, is roughly 8 miles roundtrip and leads to a beautiful viewpoint looking down on Zion Canyon and Angel's Landing. The hike...More

DON'T MISS THIS. Get off the shuttle at the Grotto. Use the bathroom before your hike. Stay hydrated. Take your lunch. Walk slow and use your walking stick. Plan for 3 or 4 hours. Coming back is all downhill, so watch your knees. Go early...More

Hiked up mountainside to a great viewpoint of Zion Canyon. Trail is maintained with switchbacks through red Navajo sandstone and through Echo Canyon. The top is a great place to picnic.

Observation point was simply stunning, a lovely hike up to the peak and u could view into three canyons and look down at Angels Landings. It's a good hike but worth the effort , so glad we went there.

About a mile into the 8 mile round trip of this hike is a slot canyon that's worth the effort of the switchbacks and narrow but maintained trail. Swirling designs of sandstone mimic the colors and patterns seen in Antelope Canyon as the walls tower...More

Damn if this hike wasn't hard! Was it worth it though? Yep! The view was amazing. It is practically switchback city getting to the top and in sun most of the time. Make sure to drink lots of water and wear sunscreen. The hike took...More

This stunning view is well worth the hike to reach it. The hike is uphill - so be prepared! And bring water!

This hike is great! It is about 8 miles round-trip, but the trail is very well maintained and pretty easy: it feels like you are hiking on a paved trail for most of the 8 miles. Although note that the total accent is about 2500ft,...More

I chose the Observation Point hike over Angel's Landing because of the more varied landscape and I am glad I did. The hike starts with a number of switchbacks with great views of the crayon floor. As you climb to the top, views change beautifully...More

I think what you see is very similar. From observation point you are higher and looking right at Angels landing. So, from Angels Landing you have an unobstructed view to the south and you are on a pinnacle so that's a big... More
