Do not miss this! We added a stop here as we found ourselves with some extra time. I am so glad we did as it is stunning. Easy drive up to the top with lots of pull-outs for views. At the top we met, by chance, the man who actually mapped this area and wrote a book about it. He... More

After leaving Zion National Park on our way to Cedar City Utah we stopped and drove through Kolob Canyon. Unlike Zion there were very few people. We went to the end of the road and hiked a trail up from the parking lot. It was a nice wide trail however it was muddy due to rain in the area. This... More

Even if you don't have time for more than a scenic drive this is not to be missed, and If you are leaving Zion on hwy 9 to hwy 15 is is a very short detour. The whole drive through the canyon is five miles of some of the most incredible scenery - the dark red stone is something not... More

Gave ourselves a week here but it was still not enough time to get to every nook and cranny. Will return next year!

I wanted to see this part of the park on a weekend to avoid any crowds in the main canyon. About a 45 minute drive from Springdale to exit 40 on 15. We drove the scenic 5 mile Kolob canyons Road to the viewpoint and then hiked the Timber Creek Overlook trail. It was a slightly moderate but beautiful hike... More

We decided to make the drive through Koloa Canyons not knowing what to expect. We were first pleased that there were almost no other cars. Then the views were spectacular! We planned on driving to Lava Point Overlook, but the road was closed shortly after we turned down Lava Point Rd. However, much to our surprise, we did see snow!... More

We stopped by Kolob after spending the previous day in the bigger part of Zion. We were a bit disappointed with how small this part of the park was, but the views were definitely impressive. There were only about 3 trail heads, at least that we saw, and each one seemed to have a little picnic area at the start... More

My wife and I didn't want to waste our money in Las Vegas, so we rented a car and came here. We also were lucky to find out our visit was free on Easter. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, taking lots of pictures. Make sure you take a good camera, with a zoom lens.

We have driven right by this gorgeous place on I-15 more times than I can count. A friend we were with suggested that we stop and take a short hike at the end. It is totally worth the 1-2 hour stop. The scenery is stunning. We enjoyed our hike and then had lunch at a lovely picnic area. Don't pass... More
